Silver Healthcare would like to nominate our amazing care manager Natasha Sumner for the Care Hero of the Month award for September 2025, Natasha Akinin has been with the company for approaching two years, doing an amazing job, she's dedicated, hard working, reliable, caring, amazing with the residents and staff, managers don't normally get the recognition they deserve but Natasha really does deserve this award, she's a proper care hero and we'd be lost without her, well done Tasha, thanks for being such a valued member of Silver Healthcare 💚

We believe the increase in employer National Insurance will put immense pressure on the social care sector, a sector already stretched by funding and staffing issues. We call on the government to review this decision and exempt all social care providers from these added costs.

A great evening meeting the Lord Mayer of Sheffield celebrating Sheffield based businesses, big thanks to Steve Carroll and the team from Business Sheffield, we've got some great people in Sheffield. Silver Healthcare has provided residential care for the elderly in Sheffield for over 30 years, we've seen so many changes over the years but what's remained constant is dedication of the carers, we couldn't do it without the amazing staff that make it all possible, I feel really privileged to have attended this evening, the recognition is really appreciated.

Carole works between Leahyrst and Rosebank and has been with the company for many years, she's incredibly reliable, hardworking and we couldn't manage without her, Carole really is a Social Care Hero, thanks Carole we all really appreciate everything you do 💙
