Remembering to sloooooooow down ๐
After a beautiful Alexander Technique session with , I'm moving through my day with more intention, awareness and easeโจ
Clients often reflect back to me that I'm very calm and move at a slow, considered pace, but this isn't always the case (!) if you see me at home in my own time, I can often get carried away by the current of HURRY.
Just like everyone else, I am part of this society that rewards speed, convenience and achieving outcomes, and often makes us feel like we are falling behind.
It's an act of rebellion to slow down, and I know many people feel like they can't afford that luxury.
But the beautiful gift that slowing down brings you is that it often feels like time expands, and you feel like you have more of it.
The more present we are to our embodied experience, the richer the experience becomes, and the more we can understand about what our bodies need to feel well.
And often, many of the tasks we think we 'need' to complete fall away when we take moment to think about what's truly important. Connection, joy, a feeling of safety.
Pause.
Take a deep breath.
Check how you're holding yourself in this moment, and see if you can invite just a little ๐ค more ease.
Love ya x
