January thoughts and notes to self ✍️

Like many people I know, this January has felt like a long, tough one at times for me.

But despite the darker days, both internally and externally, I'm ending January feeling incredibly grateful and putting significantly less pressure on myself than I did at the start.

Choosing trust.

Not forcing.

I just finished reading Follow Your Tao by and it was one of those books where every single time I picked it up, the chapter was so pertinent to precisely what was moving through me on that day. It really felt like I was being guided by this book, like a gentle arm around my shoulder. Thank you . I've already started reading it again and incorporating the practices into my everyday.

I'm feeling an undercurrent of excitement to celebrate Imbolc tomorrow - I can already feel the spring in my step.

I'm feeling ready to start wintering and journeying inwards, spending time in my inner sanctuary that I've been dedicated to building over these last 3 months.

In preparation, I've made some changes to my availability by introducing Winter Hours for the darker months, and I've brought in some new nourishing rituals 🕯️

✨New massage space✨

I'm almost ready to start welcoming my existing clients into my beautiful new space.

This special location, lovingly nicknamed The Womb Room, is going to be open to my returning female clients only.

I have poured so much love, intention, and devotion into this room as I have brought this dream into the physical realm.

With each brush stroke, I have been visualizing the experiences I want to co-create in this room, with women feeling honoured, held and at ease within the cosy folds of the space.

Along with offering holistic massage from the space, I hope to have women gathering in circle to share, witness and connect with each other over a cup of tea or cacao (maybe some dancing too).

Ｃｏｎｎｅｃｔｉｎｇ

After a thorough consultation, I always begin my treatments with a meaningful amount of time settling my clients into the space, grounding them into their body and connecting with their energy.

This looks a little different each time, but you can expect

some gentle breathwork,

a guided body scan,

a visualisation exercise to bring all parts of you back home to your body and into the present moment,

some space for silence to tune in and see what comes up.

Accompanied by a carefully curated playlist of music, my treatments are mostly free from chit-chat. This allows both me and my client to stay fully present and able to listen to even the quietest whispers from their body.

I strive to create an open channel of communication, which remains focused on what you're experiencing in the here and now ~ allowing space to give voice to these whispers and let them guide the massage, making it as impactful and tailored as possible.

Of course, there are never any hard-and-fast rules when it comes to talking during a massage; I'll always be led by what makes you feel the most relaxed and at ease.

I like to think of my treatments as a moving meditation for us both; being present and observing what comes up with no judgement, only compassion.
