Today is International Women’s Day.
And this year’s theme is “Give To Gain.”
The older I get, the more I understand that progress doesn’t just happen.
It’s built.
By women who keep going.
Women who give their time.
Their energy.
Their leadership.
Their softness.
Their strength.
Women building businesses while building families.
Women navigating health battles no one else can see.
Women running homes, raising children, carrying responsibility quietly.
Women doing it solo.
Women doing it with support.
There is no single version of strength.
When we give opportunity, space, encouragement, mentorship, protection, belief —
we don’t lose anything.
We gain stronger daughters.
Stronger communities.
Stronger futures.
I look at my girls and I don’t just hope they are confident.
I hope they are equal.
I hope they are heard.
I hope they grow up in a world that doesn’t ask them to shrink to fit it.
To the women who came before us — thank you.
To the women beside us — I see you.
To the women we are raising — we are still building this for you.
Give support.
Give voice.
Give opportunity.
Because when women gain —
the world rises with them. 🤍
