🧡 With our latest course now up and running we thought it would be great to share this brilliant blog on how we support you during & after your training.
We don't just see you for 2 days a month then wave you off until the next month, in the same way when the course ends we don't just present you with a certificate and send you off into the world of hypnotherapy unaided!

Seeing our students experience trance and hypnosis for the very first time! 🌟
Not only did they enter a deeply relaxed state themselves, but they also practiced inducing trance with their peers - an invaluable step in building confidence as future hypnotherapists.
Students also got to see the science of the brain using an EEG machine 🧠watching the fascinating activity of the brain in a trance state. It’s incredible to see how hypnotherapy physically impacts brain waves, helping people relax, reset, and heal.
There's so many exciting things to learn about and we can't wait for the next 9 modules to show you!

One of the standout strengths of the CPHT diploma is the hands-on practical experience. In Module One, our students get to experience a relaxation hypnosis session both as the therapist and the client. 🛋️
It’s not just learning, it’s about feeling it, practicing it, and enjoying the process. There’s nothing like our weekend modules: plenty of practice, and yes… you really do get to relax while you learn!

And we’re off! 🧡
This weekend marked the start of our latest Spring intake and it was so lovely to get things underway and to meet you all. What a fantastic group to begin the journey with!
Over the next 9 months and 10 enjoyable modules, our students will learn the latest neuroscience research alongside powerful trance and hypnosis techniques.
Alongside the therapeutic skills, they’ll also build the foundations of their own practice - learning about marketing, GDPR, and gradually taking on clients.
Infact by the time they graduate, many of our students will have already completed around 200 hours of client work, with some even earning back the cost of the course during their training.
And of course, it’s not just about learning, it’s about building confidence, gaining experience, and forming great friendships along the way.
What a wonderful way to spend the weekend. 🧡

Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training (CPHT) is a nationwide hypnotherapy training body providing a Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD) Course for the modern hypnotherapist. This course is designed for students wishing to become practising hypnotherapists. The Director and Senior Course Lecturer of CPHT is David Newton, Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist (see cphtdavidnewton.co.uk). CPHT Sheffield is run by Senior Lecturers Debbie Daltrey and Jane Fox.
Hypnotherapy is now considered to be one of the fastest growing professions in the United Kingdom and CPHT has enabled hundreds of students to become successful hypnotherapists. If you intend to make hypnotherapy your new career, part-time or full-time, we believe you have come to the right place.
Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD)
The HPD Course is of approximately 120 hours duration of classroom study plus practice between sessions and required reading over a period of 10 months. Successful graduation leads to a full Diploma qualification (DSFH) and the nationally accredited (NCFE) Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD). Students are assessed throughout their training and there will be a requirement for a practical assessment. Students are required to charge the “student rate”, 50% of the normal fee, after the 7th module. This becomes an obligatory part of the course after the 8th module.
At the end of the studies students are asked to submit a portfolio, compiled throughout the training, for assessment both within CPHT and externally leading to the Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD). HPD has been accredited by the NCFE as having measurable learning outcomes that have been benchmarked at Level 4 using Ofqual’s Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF) level descriptions. Advanced Hypnotherapy Diploma (AHD)
For HPD hypnotherapy graduates we also offer Advanced Courses, Career Professional Development (CPD) and supervision. CPHT graduates may continue their professional development while in practice and achieve a further award of the Advanced Hypnotherapy Diploma (AHD) (Level 5 equivalence).
