Old Shenfield Place Residential Care Home in the Heart of Shenfield, Essex With roads leading to London and Colchester, Shenfield is well connected to the neighbouring area.

Old Shenfield Place is a beautiful Edwardian building situated in the heart of Shenfield, a quiet town and former village surrounded by beautiful scenery. Not far from the train station and bus routes, our care home is easily accessible whether you are travelling from far away or just around the corner. We know that moving into a care home can sometimes be a difficult transition, but regular visits from family and friends can make all the difference. We encourage our residents to enjoy each others’ company and all our local area has to offer, and to never say no to some fresh air and a nice hot drink in our local cafes. Connectivity is hugely important to us here at Old Shenfield, which is why we have a mobility-friendly vehicle available to support our residents in getting out and about whenever possible. For us, it is vital our residents and their families have the ability to choose how and where they spend their time.

We had a bright and creative start to the morning at Old Shenfold Place 🎨
Our residents enjoyed an Arts & Crafts session inspired by wooden stencil templates, and it was wonderful seeing everyone add their own creative spin. We were also joined by lovely Lena, a visiting member of the community who joins us on some Monday mornings (anyone is welcome) for our art club —it's always a lovely addition to the group.
A fun, hands-on session filled with colour, conversation, and plenty of imagination.

We had a wonderful visit this morning from the children of Shenfield St Mary’s, who came in with their storybooks to read to our residents.

☕🍰 Remembrance Day Coffee Afternoon at Shenfield Library 🇬🇧

Yesterday, the residents of Old Shenfield Place were invited to Shenfield Library for a lovely Remembrance Day Coffee Afternoon filled with coffee, tea, cakes, and great company. The event was open to the community and was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together to reflect and remember.

We were treated to a beautiful performance by Kerry, who sang all the Vera Lynn favourites — a touching and nostalgic tribute that everyone enjoyed. 💕

Our residents had a fantastic afternoon, and it was heartwarming to see the community connect, share memories, and honour the day together.

A big thank you to Shenfield Library for the kind invitation and warm welcome! 🌹
