Never forgotten 🪽
Always Nearby
We never truly let go
of our departed loved ones.
Their absence carves out
a lasting ache into our days,
but their presence lingers
in ways that time cannot erase.
They remain with us,
in the stories we retell,
in the gestures we’ve inherited,
in the tiniest familiar instincts,
gentle, guiding echoes of their influence.
They live on in the way we love others,
in the choices we make,
in the silent guidance
we feel
when we’re unsure of our next step.
Loss may change the shape
of our relationship with them,
but it does not sever it.
Instead, it transforms
into something softer,
something deeply comforting
and enduring.
Even as we move forward,
a part of them moves with us,
woven into who we have become,
a faithful, ever-present presence,
always nearby.
