A lot of families tell us it helps them feel more organised and reassured when planning ahead. And if you’re booking more than two months in advance, you can secure the stay with just a 25% deposit, which many people find makes things a little easier. 💛

🎯❌⭕ Game Time Fun! ❌⭕🎯

There was plenty of friendly competition and laughter as residents enjoyed some classic games together. From aiming carefully with bean bag throwing into the bucket to Brian showing his skills playing noughts and crosses, everyone had a great time joining in or cheering from the sidelines 😄

Simple games, big smiles, and lovely shared moments made for a fun-filled session! 🤝

We were delighted to welcome St Paul’s School from Shepton Mallet back today to finish the Make the Sunshine CiC project they began last week. Together, the children and our residents worked side by side to complete their beautiful stained glass windows, sharing lots of laughter, conversation, and creativity along the way. 🎨☀️👏

The finished artwork will be proudly put on display at the Sorting Office in Shepton Mallet Town Centre, and we’re thrilled that this wonderful project will also be featured in the local paper. A truly special experience for everyone involved! 🌈

January has been a month full of celebrations as we marked all of our residents’ birthdays from the very start of the year right through to the end 🎉🎂

We kicked off the new year by celebrating Ray’s birthday, followed by a special shared celebration for Lesley, Patrick, and Derrick, who all celebrated on the 9th. We marked the occasion with a lovely afternoon party filled with smiles, laughter, and cake. 🍰

As the month continued, we also celebrated the birthdays of Patricia and Anne, making January a truly joyful and festive month for everyone. 🤩

Wishing all of our birthday stars happiness, health, and many more wonderful moments ahead 💛✨

We were delighted to welcome the Make the Sunshine CiC and pupils from St Paul’s School, Shepton Mallet, who joined us to create beautiful stained glass window artwork. The finished pieces now brighten up the shop windows and bring a splash of colour to the town. 🌈✨

A huge thank you to everyone involved for such a joyful and creative session, it was wonderful to see the community come together. 🎨🥰

✨ A Magical Masquerade Afternoon ✨

Residents enjoyed a truly fantastic afternoon at our Masquerade Ball, bringing joy and sparkle to lift those post Christmas and New Year blues. With wonderful music, lively dancing, and plenty of laughter, the atmosphere was simply magical. 🥰

Residents donned their masks for the occasion, while staff and family members joined in the fun, creating a beautiful sense of togetherness. Some of our staff even dressed in their own elegant attire, adding extra glamour to this special event. 🎭

There is nothing blue about us this - our home is filled with love and joy as we get into the Valentine's Day spirit a little early this year, by creating some heart-warming arts and crafts. 🌸✨

Earlier this week, we were thrilled to welcome Professor Martin Green OBE, Chief Executive of Care England , to Field House!

During his visit, Professor Green engaged with our residents and met our incredible team as part of an activity supported by Museum To You . Together, we learned about the fascinating traditions at Bishop's Palace & Gardens in Wells, in anticipation of our spring visit there. 🏰🌷

As well as pressing flowers linked to the Palace gardens, residents also learned about the history of swans in the Palace moat, and heard stories about Moira, the 'swan whisperer'! 🦢
