Post-workout, Metabolic Window 👇
For around 30–60 minutes after a tough session, your cells are primed to pull in nutrients to replenish energy stores and kick start repair.
During this marathon training block, I have found myself knocking up the following drink, as soon as I get through the door (I like to hit the window within 20 min):
🥄 tablespoon of homemade yoghurt
🍁 dash of maple syrup
💪 scoop of collagen/glycine powder (I use Evolve Collagen by InHealth)
🧂 a couple of magnesium capsules
💧 water and a pinch of decent salt
➕/- sometimes creatine
But this is just the prelude for a proper full English and scoffing whatever is in sight — especially after a 20 miler 😅🍳🥓
