Good evening. We hope you have had a good week and are all safe and well following the recent weather.

We are excited to be offering another Pain Management Workshop commencing Monday 16th February, which will run for 11 weeks, between 1015 and 1215.

The 'Ten Footsteps' programme is for anyone who lives with persistent pain on a regular basis and is interested in exploring alternative ways to manage this in a supportive environment with lived experience facilitators. There is then an option to remain part of a peer group at the end.

This course is ideal for anyone who would like to reap the benefits of an established meditation practice based on a ten stage program of meditation. The course will follow an in-depth book and will involve reading, daily practice and supportive group sessions.

“First Steps Toward Stillness”
We are offering an 8-week, beginner-friendly journey into the first three stages of The Mind Illuminated.

Together, we’ll explore the theoretical and practical foundations for cultivating the innate capacities of mind and heart.

The course takes place via Zoom every Wednesday from 7:00–8:30 pm CET, running from February 4 to March 25.

Each session includes guided meditations, short theoretical input, and space for questions. The course is offered on a donation basis, and no previous experience is required.

It makes quite a lot of assumptions about how reasonable a young person might be around having phone restrictions... I'm certain it would bring good results long term. Really glad to see such clear writing that when it comes to food we can’t blame individual choice. We live in a system of ultrprocessed, hyperpalpable, hyper marketed non-food which creates huge profit for them but leaves us craving and without the necessary nourishment for well-being. I’d love the system to change overnight but revolution can begin in personal empowerment by gaining the skills, knowledge and ways of living well with ease. This is why Somerset Council fund all my workshops to help you improve your physical and emotional health in a deep yet simple way. Courses and workshops start this month. I wanted to share this map with everyone again because it's so important. Every time I look at it, it reminds me exactly why I do what I do.

The UK sits alone in red, the only European country where more than half of household food purchases are ultra-processed. We've become the unhealthiest nation in Europe, and it's not because we lack willpower or discipline. It's because our food system is broken.

Think about it. Portugal manages just 10.2%. Italy sits at 13.4%. France at 14.2%. These countries haven't discovered some magical secret. They've simply held onto something we've lost: a culture of real food, cooked from scratch, shared with family and friends. Meanwhile, we've handed our health over to food manufacturers who care more about profit margins than our wellbeing.

I'm not interested in pointing fingers at individuals. This isn't your fault. For decades, the food industry has spent billions engineering products designed to make you eat more, buy more, crave more. They've stripped the fibre out, pumped the sugar in, and marketed it all as convenient, affordable, and perfectly acceptable. They've captured our taste buds, hijacked our metabolism, and left us wondering why we can't shift the weight or find the energy we used to have.

But we can turn this around. Not through government mandates or another failed public health campaign, but through a grassroots movement of people who refuse to accept this as normal anymore.

In a 3 hour workshop Eat For Health explains the processes of Fats, Carbohydrates and Proteins becoming your body- how they heal, how some harm and how to read any food packaging to make an informed choice. Have the power to Love Your Body.

Eat For Health isn't fad diets, point systems, calorie counting or strange imported foods. Eat For Health is education of how your body actually works so you can understand food and make conscious, informed choices for your body.
