Here at The Sherborne Practice we'd like to promote how we can support mental health awareness across the ages, with this in mind we have launched a "Design a mental health poster" competition. The 4 winners will all receive an XL Lindt Easter Egg, and have their posters displayed in our therapy rooms here at The Sherborne Practice.

We've already had a wonderful response from some of the local schools, thank you 💖 and would appreciate you sharing our post 🥰

🌟 Thank you everyone 🌟

As we move into the new year and bid farewell to 2025, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our wonderful clients / patients, friends and fellow business owners for their continued support throughout the year. Accessing Counselling and Psychotherapy can feel daunting and it is an absolute priviledge to do the job we do. In 2025 we have provided over 1400 clinical sessions to the local community and surrounding areas 💖 Thank you for choosing and trusting us. I have included in the images the wonderful reviews that we have recieved throughout the year.

We are very excited to be launching our ADHD clinic in October!

After a long wait we are thrilled to have Dr Robin Garai joining us from Saturday 11th October to provide a monthly ADHD assessment clinic.

Dr Garai has extensive experience in conducting comprehensive diagnostic assessments for individuals with ADHD. His expertise have been developed through diverse roles across multiple NHS trusts. Within these roles he has completed diagnostic ADHD assessments and worked with patients to titrate, initiate and review medication.

He is committed to delivering high-quality care and supporting individuals in achieving optimal treatment outcomes.

Today Ren and I decided to take a long lunch and went to view the wonderful Gaia in Sherborne Abbey 🌎 it's well worth a visit if you haven't already been.

June has been a wonderful month here at The Sherborne Practice, the sun has been shining 🌞 and our team have been building on their skills and enjoying self care. We had a fabulous social meet up at The Sherborne "A landmark destination for the arts" if you haven't already visited, it really is well worth it.

🥳 Introducing our wonderful Psychotherapist Jane Hall 🥳

As a qualified Art Psychotherapist (registered with HCPC), Jane has a wealth of experience having worked in a range of different mental health settings, including working for the NHS and within schools providing group and one to one therapy. Her experience includes working with victims of sexual violence, acute surgery and Hospice care, (various) personality disorders, attachment difficulties, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, grief, self-harm, bipolar disorder, and addiction. Providing art psychotherapy, with Guided Drawing as an option to explore trauma that is stored in the body and connect mind and body.
Jane's approach focuses on forming an early positive therapeutic alliance, with the therapeutic relationship at its core. Her personality and approach are welcoming and adaptive, she is always ready to introduce new activities and adapt her methods to suit her clients.
Working with adults, children and young people, Jane works using art and without, so if art is not your thing she is still a wonderful therapist to work with and has a wealth of experience.
