Today we are celebrating International Women’s Day 🌸
International Women’s Day is a reminder that progress is possible when we work together.

Here’s a photo of some of the incredible women who help keep our practice running every day. From our Clinical team to our reception, dispensary and administrative staff, their compassion, dedication and hard work make a real difference to our patients and our community.

Thank you for everything you do 💜

💛 March is Endometriosis Awareness Month

Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women and people assigned female at birth. Symptoms can include severe period pain, heavy bleeding, pelvic pain, pain during s*x, and fertility difficulties.

Severe period pain isn’t something you have to just live with. If symptoms are affecting your daily life, please contact the surgery to arrange an appointment with one of our clinicians.

📝🖨📄

If we have paperwork for you, we will contact you & ask you to collect it if it isn't something that we can send to you as an attachment to an email or text message. This is part of our pledge & also, to be transparent, due to the cost of postage. We obviously still need to post paperwork to various organisations & patients who are unable to collect but we try to cut down where possible.

👣 If you need to collect some paperwork from us, please try to either tie it in with an existing journey you are making around Sherborne, or if you are in walking distance of the surgery and are able, a walk is something that, as healthcare professionals, we would always encourage.

March is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.

Ovarian cancer symptoms can be vague, so it’s important to know the signs:
• Persistent bloating
• Pelvic or abdominal pain
• Feeling full quickly
• Needing to wee more often

If these symptoms are new, unusual for you, or happening frequently, please contact the surgery to arrange to see a clinician. Most cases won’t be cancer — but it’s always best to get checked.
