School-age children from reception to year 11 who haven’t had their flu immunisation are invited to one of our catch-up clinics this January:

5 Jan, 2.30-5pm: Dorchester Cricket Club
5 Jan, 3-5pm: King’s Park Hospital, Bournemouth
6 Jan, 3-5pm: Canford Heath Clinic, Poole.
8 Jan, 2.30-5pm: Sherborne Scout Hut
10 Jan, 9.30am-2.30pm: Canford Heath Clinic, Poole.

A one dose MMRV catch up will be offered from 1st November 2026 to 31st March 2028 for children aged 3 years 4 months to under 6 who have not yet had chicken pox infection or two doses of varicella vaccination
• The vaccines are considered clinically equivalent and interchangeable, and there are no safety concerns with giving the vaccine to a child who has already had chickenpox infection or previous varicella vaccination
• If you would like your child to have the MMRV vaccine without porcine gelatine, please just let the surgery know and this will be arranged.
