A drizzly morning didn’t stop us enjoying a scenic drive through Compton Valence 🚐

We recently welcomed Truth Be Told toddler group back for their first visit of the year ✨

Best friends Roy and Addi were pleased to be back together, enjoying songs, play, and plenty of bubbles. Residents enjoyed the chance to reconnect and spend time with the children.

Abbey View has enjoyed a wonderful festive season, full of creativity and cheer. Highlights included our Christmas Fayre where resident Ken delighted guests as Father Christmas, a Christmas card pop-up shop, and of course our gift-wrapping masterclass with Valerie Singleton OBE.

We recently welcomed a visiting drama group, organised through Artsreach, for a lively performance at Abbey View. With singing, dancing, mime and plenty of laughter, residents were fully engaged throughout.

Barbara described the performers as “just delightful,” while resident Derek provided some extra entertainment of his own from the doorway when the lounge filled up.

Residents at Abbey View recently enjoyed a very special festive activity as Valerie Singleton OBE, famed Blue Peter presenter, led a Christmas Wrapping Masterclass.

Valerie, who has spent the past year volunteering at the home with presentations about her travels and favourite stories, brought her signature creativity and love of beautifully wrapped gifts to the activity. Residents, including Janet, were delighted to work alongside her, sharing conversation, laughter, and festive cheer.

Thanks to Valerie, our Christmas gifts were wrapped with extra care, creativity, and a touch of magic!
