We don't just sponsor these guys - we trust them,, the below advice is spot on too. As an office based worker (my day job) the best piece of advice in line with the below is to protect your training time as routine - think of it as important as any other meeting.

How to make training stick!
Let’s face it, at one point for most of us who have cracked it this was a hurdle we had to overcome. And many others are still figuring it out. Today let’s go deep and discover how we grasp the concept of never skipping the gym and be loyal to yourself and your sport, though this does have some caveats.
If we are truly serious about real lasting change, or becoming something more, pursuing personal goals or even more, competing at the highest level, then we need to change the hobby mind-set. When you have a hobby, it is seen more as recreational and a separate activity outside of our normal routine. And I tell you this, that hobby runs off motivation, not discipline. When the dark days come, or the mates are calling you out for a lads/girl’s night, or motivation wades, the hobby can easily be replaced by something else.
The answer might sound extreme, and unwarranted to outsiders. But we need to do this, make it part of your routine without fail. Put it on the tick box list of things that must be done before you go to bed. The athletes at the top of the field know this, it doesn’t run off motivation, it runs off discipline. For those that bought my EBook last year regarding self- coaching, we learnt that motivation is great! Use it well while it is with you, but know that it can be a temporary thing, sometimes it won’t be there, so make sure your discipline is!
Discipline ensures that habits stick, that needs are met and that goals are met with results. Dark clouds cant shake what is rooted deep and the lasting benefits of this are also felt in your everyday life. Be much more than you what think possible.
You have to make it an obsession in order to integrate it as part of your life. How far does one take the obsession? This is what I will be writing about next week, when is an obsession healthy vs unhealthy and how we manage that!
For now, one session at a time we move!
