With your help we're proudly putting Scotland on the map here in Zanzibar!

Wee Bonnie - affectionately named with pride after my Scottish friends and family took the time to donate to the first phase of our rescue and rewild project here in Tanzania.

She was rescued with her siblings when someone dumped concrete building waste on top of them and their mama when they were just a few weeks old....2 of them had to have surgery and yet they are still some of the lucky ones because we found them on time 🙏🏾

We are still on phase 1 and need as much funding to start as possible- we plan to be completely sustainable without the need of outside funding- but for now we really need to help to make a low wall and fence the land!

If you can donate I promise that every single penny counts and until we have the full funding for the first phase we won't start laying a single brick!(I don't want a half built shelter project and I want to see every donation put to real honest use)

This little boy was found with building materials dumped on him, he's only a few weeks old and has lost his paw- it's likely his mama pulled him out of the mess in distress. When I found him he was just frozen in fear with his bones protruding 😞 he's in good care now but we have to wait and see how his fate will be, we also suspect he has some eyesight problems but we pray and hope for this little darling!!

This little boy was foumd with building materials dumped on him, he's only a few weeks old and has lost his paw- it's likely his mama pulled him out of the mess. For those who’ve been asking how to support our hands on project here in Tanzania - I’ve created something very special 💛
I’ve put together Natural Eco Gift Packages that not only make the most beautiful presents, but also help fund the start-up and ongoing work of Kindred.Africa.

Each package is lovingly filled with natural, handcrafted products made right here in Africa, from seaweed soaps and sponges, to colourful cotton kimono robes, and rich body butters- all created by small village initiatives. Every item supports local makers and sustainable livelihoods.

Some days are really hard

Today we found 2 puppies trapped in discarded wires from a building site. The puppies are around 3 weeks old and their mama was nearby distressed.
The wire had them trapped so deep that their legs had twisted and become deformed, piercing their tummies and one is missing its paw.

We wait patiently at the local vets for the best possible outcome. Sometimes it's best to put them to sleep as much as it breaks our hearts - sometimes funds just don't stretch far enough to help them all😞, but we will try our absolute best for these little ones.

They are just so innocent.

Please I beg you, be mindful of how you discard your waste. Whilst I don't believe this has been intentional harm- it can easily be prevented if we just do better for the environment and others!

What would you do?

What would you do if you saw this little one laying defeated in a pile of trash - body full of parasites, bones showing, gums bleeding and having no one there to help. No mama around, no siblings around, just welcomed into a world that's bringing him pain.

What would you do?

This isn't an isolated case and these little ones have nowhere to go. We can't keep them all as much as we'd love to, it's just impossible.
But what we are trying to do is provide a safe and secure space for them. A sustainable solution that doesn't depend on only adopting or caging them. To support other small projects that are also trying their best here and help with their sterilization and basic care.

I can't keep seeing such suffering and feeling helpless. I can't turn a blind eye to it, if you could do something too, would you?

We are just getting started after a long time of feeling so helpless and desperate and if you feel in your heart that you also would do something then please help us by supporting a very personal, hands on cause and I will continue to share the ongoing progress and gratitude from those you are helping 🙏🏾
