Immobility, injury, inflammation and traumas lead to tissue dehydration which will affect movement patterns. Using the soft balls we can soften, expand and restore the soft tissue by producing new collagen, allowing the fluids to glide and flow as we balance the autonomic nervous system.
~
Learn a technique that you can then use yourself at home and find out which foods and supplements you can include in your diet to help support relaxation, promote clarity of mind and emotional tranquility.

Coffee.... how do you like yours?
~
Evidence on the benefits of coffee is quite fluid but I think a little of what you like does you good.
~
However, a new study suggests that light to moderate coffee consumption each day can help to protect your heart and possibly slow down age related cardiac changes! That’ll do me 😊.
~
I find that sometimes coffee can make me feel a bit jittery unless I drink it like this.
~
Black filtered with 1tsp coconut oil, 1tsp of reishi mushroom powder, 1/2tsp turmeric and cinnamon and a tiny bit of raw honey for a bit of sweetness.
~
Reishi is an adaptogen - which is a plant that helps the body adapt to certain stressors. Specially beneficial for supporting immune health, balancing blood sugars and boosting mood health.
~
I’ll be discussing adaptogens in more detail at our day retreat on the 6th March with . Please get in touch if you’d like to book your place.

My kind of lunch πŸ₯—.

A handful of rocket - bitter foods help stimulate digestive enzymes so we can breakdown and absorb our foods better. They also help stimulate and support out liver, also a great source of fibre.
~
Healthy fats from avocado, olives (and eggs!).

Protein from eggs.
~
Vitamins D, B, antioxidants and fibre from mushrooms.
~
Stacks of good bacteria for gut health from the kimchi!.
~
And a generous sprinkle of seaweed for thyroid support.

Just what’s needed on this grey end of January day πŸ˜ƒ.

It’s all about having a happy gut this week.

Kimchi made and sat fermenting on the side. It’s Day 3 now and it’s starting to bubble nicely. I’ll probably leave it for another day or so and then pop it in the fridge. ~
It stinks but it’s worth it πŸ˜†.
