When I first made these, I just thought, “oh these are cute, I’ll add a couple as a little extra to the range.”

There wasn’t a fancy launch or a big announcement. I quietly popped them live on the website and didn’t think much of it. Then suddenly, the response was incredible.

What’s funny is these almost made me quit candle making altogether. I’m honestly so clumsy (just ask my parents how many dog bowls and lights I broke when I lived at home). The first few rounds of remoulding these were a nightmare. There were a few moments I was ready to throw them across the studio 🤣

But once I got the hang of them, something changed. Each one became its own little piece of art. I stopped trying to make them look perfect and just started trusting my gut. A dried orange here, a bit of pine there, a few cloves and cinnamon wherever they felt right.

They ended up becoming one of my favourite things to make. They forced me to slow down, to be present, and to actually enjoy the process again.

Today I’m making the very last batch of our Christmas decorations for 2025.

This isn’t a polished video or some fancy announcement. It’s just me, being real.

For the past five years I’ve been running my candle brand and for most of that time my main focus was our retail store. But after closing the doors in August because I was completely burnt out, I’ve been slowly trying to fall back in love with what I do.

This is my first Christmas without a shop which honestly feels scary, but also exciting in a strange way. I’ve spent the past few months getting back to what I love most — hand pouring our coconut wax candles, spending time with my dogs and reconnecting with why I started this brand in the first place.

And just like that… the shop has closed. 💛

I can’t even put into words how much love, laughter, and support has filled that little space over the past few years. From the first candle poured to the last customer served, it’s been such a beautiful chapter — one I’ll carry with me forever.

Our very last sale in the shop was for six beginner bundles — which feels so special, because that’s exactly how Aroma Quartz first began. A full-circle moment I’ll never forget. ✨

But this isn’t goodbye. It’s simply a shift. I can’t wait to see you all at our pop-ups, workshops, and events — both here in Shrewsbury and around the country. And of course, you can still find us online whenever you need a little Aroma Quartz magic.

Thank you, truly, for being part of this journey. You’ve made it what it is, and I’m so excited for this next chapter.

A letter to you 💌

I’ve written and rewritten this so many times, and the words still don’t feel quite right — but I think it’s finally time to share what’s next for Aroma Quartz.

After five incredible years of running our little store in Shrewsbury, I’ve made the decision to close our physical shop at the end of this month.

This isn’t a sad ending — it’s a decision that comes from a place of clarity, growth, and love. After what’s been one of the most challenging years yet, I’ve realised how much I crave a life with more space, more calm, and more time to simply be. A life where I can protect my energy, reconnect with what lights me up, and of course — spend more time with my dogs.

Over the years, this shop has become more than just four walls. It’s become a space of community, connection, and care — and none of that is going anywhere.

From September, we’ll be moving fully online, and I’ll be focusing my energy on what I truly love: creating beautiful products, telling stories through scent and wellness, and finding more intentional ways to connect with you. You’ll still be able to shop with us on our website, and I’ll still be lovingly packing each and every order by hand.

And don’t worry — we’re not disappearing from the high street completely. We’ll be popping up around Shrewsbury as often as we can, and travelling further afield too for markets, events, and collaborations. We’re also finalising things with some brilliant new stockists, so you’ll still be able to find our products in town — we’ll be sure to keep you updated as soon as everything’s confirmed.

Thank you for being part of this journey. I’m endlessly proud of what we’ve built together, and deeply grateful for every single customer, conversation, and moment shared.

This next chapter is one of freedom, creativity, and deeper connection — and I truly can’t wait to bring you along for the ride.
