Please only order the medication you need over the Christmas period, this week we have pulled over 100 prescriptions off the shelf that haven't been collected from the last 2 months. This is a huge amount of dispensing hours wasted, where we could be providing a better, quicker service for our patients.

As we approach the Christmas and New Year period, we kindly ask patients not to order medications early unless your repeat prescription is genuinely due for collection on one of the Bank Holidays or the weekend.
Please avoid ordering increased amounts, ie more than one month at a time.
The dispensary will be open as normal throughout the festive season, closing only on
Christmas Day
Boxing Day
New Year’s Day
We are currently experiencing a very high demand, and early or unnecessary repeats place the team under unmanageable pressure and may delay medication for those who need it most. Please help us to continue to provide a safe and efficient dispensing service.

Last week for home delivery service before Christmas and New Year will be Thursday 18th and Friday 19th December - please order in good time.

Deliveries will resume on WEDNESDAY 7 JANUARY 2026 with the following timetable -
Bomere Heath Village Hall - 11.30am
Nesscliffe Village Hall - 1.30pm
Ruyton XI Towns collection point - 2.30pm

REMINDER: There will be no home deliveries this week due to annual leave.
Please also be aware that the last week for deliveries before Christmas will be 18th and 19th December. Please order in good time to avoid running out of medication.

Have you heard about our after hours breast screening appointments?

We know life can get hectic, so we are making it easier for you to attend your breast screening. We offer appointments after work from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00pm. on selected days in the week.

If you have already received an appointment but the time does not work for you, you can call us to change it. There is no need to miss out, we offer breast screening that fits your schedule.

For any child who has missed their Flu vaccination at school, the Shropshire Community Health Trust (SCHT) School Aged Immunisation Service (SAIS) team will be holding a walk-in Seasonal Flu clinic for school-aged children (Reception to Year 11) at Coral House, 11 Longbow Close, Shrewsbury, SY1 3GZ, on Saturday, 22nd November, from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm.
We still have available appointments for 2 & 3 year olds, 18-64 year olds with underlying health conditions and patients aged 65 and over here at the surgery.

The Surgery will be holding a Raffle again this October in aid of ‘Breast Cancer Wear It Pink Week’, prizes will be drawn on Friday 24 October.
Raffle tickets will be on sale from tomorrow, £1 per ticket. Any prize donations accepted

The Surgery will be closed from 1.00pm on WEDNESDAY 8 OCTOBER 2025 for staff training. Dispensary will also be closed so it will not be possible to collect medications. If you require medical treatment please call 111, in an emergency please dial 999.
Surgery will be open at 8.30am as normal on Thursday 9 October.
