I’ve worked in the postnatal exercise space for almost 7 years and I LOVE ITTTTT! I’m fascinated by the way our body responds to parenthood, I’m more fascinated by the way we learn to adapt and evolve!

I created the Stronger Mums bootcamp as a way to find consistency amidst the chaos! No need to get dressed, leave the house or event complete the whole thing in one go!

Maximum workout time is 40 mins, most are around 30- I am really good at explaining the exercises and how they FEEL and this gives you a chance to find YOU again, on your terms at your pace!

The thing about working toward a goal is there’s always a part that feels boring!

THATS the real test! Not whether you do the thing at the end but the work you have to put in, even when you’re not sure you want to!

The first thing to go when I try and do all of the things, try and be all the job roles in one go- is (my sanity?!) my intuition! I default back to old patterns of feeling negative, tiredness, not eating lunch properly, not fully getting anything done just lots of little things.

This week was needed. Not just for me but because something grew in my brain and I have a brand new offer coming for you!

It’s no longer just about fitness. Repeat after me…. ITS JUST MARKETING!

In the same way smoking was sold as a weight loss tool- and look where that got us!

Why is it so harsh? Because the real secret or not so secret to optimising your health is really boringgggggg and you don’t need to fork out loads of money for it!

So instead, the language that’s used is designed to make you feel ashamed, crappy, a bit s**t!

And it changes every few years, have you noticed?

Don’t buy in! Do the boring s**t, see the results and have a life where exercise and food doesn’t consume your every thought!

The reason I started the 8 weeks to Park Run Programme was because I wanted people to see how supportive the running community is!

Park Run especially isn’t about competition, although I know it can look like that sometimes, but it really is about showing up and doing the thing and enjoying it.

The biggest revelation was always when I told the group that they can structure their run to have walks included- it’s not a failure to need to walk! It’s strategy to add it in and then go again!

So in case you didn’t know- take yourself off for a walk/ run aka a Jeff!

And although I’m not running the programme anymore I see many many amazing running group popping up AND I have added the strength parts of the programme to the ‘Your strongest 5k’ programme so you can add some strength into your weekly movement and it will make you a faster runner!

In September we’re completing the Race the Sun event for and yes we’re raising money- if you’d like to help us along- the link is in my stories (usually) or bio!

I SUCK on a bike, like really am a nervous cyclist, this was the way I thought I could improve it!

We’ll be doing 30 miles on the bikes, 10 hiking and 2 in kayaks!

Watch the space as I (surely will!) improve over the rest of the year!

ALL ADVICE WELCOME- as long as you’re nice about it! 😉
