Wow, 6 days of first training in the form of a FAW Requalification, a full FAW course and a one day Outdoor First Aid Course. Lots of fun & learning and some great questions from the candidates.

The feedback from these courses has been exceptional so I must be doing something right. Shock horror, I use PowerPoint, videos, imagery, course manual, group discussion, games, practical scenarios / walk throughs. What works best, I have absolutely no idea! Perhaps it's the blending of all the methods to reflect the group's needs. Perhaps it's because I explain the why as well as the how and I can back this up with a solid evidence base that reflects the current 2025 Resus Council Guidelines.

A few select pictures from the various courses below. If you would like CHMAS Training to run a course for your club or organisation. Then please do get in touch - chris@chmas.co.uk.

Running a first aid course is not something we take lightly at CHMAS Training. We work hard to ensure we are teaching to current guidance and / or best practice. We like to give our students a little bit of the 'why' and a lot of 'how' when an emergency situation arises.

This is achieved through theory sessions, group discussions, practical work, videos & imaginary' games and I dare say a good PowerPoint or too so I stimulate all the learning senses.

Here are a few pictures from my last outdoor first aid course for Arthog Outreach.
