Pregnancy advice is often well-meaning… but very general 🤍
“Strengthen your pelvic floor.”
“Open your hips.”
“Do your kegels.”
“Squats are great for birth.”
And sometimes they are.
But sometimes they’re not.
Generic advice assumes every pregnant body starts in the same place, moves the same way, and needs the same preparation. That’s rarely true.
Some bodies need more strength. Some need more softness. Some need stability, coordination, or better awareness rather than more stretching or squeezing.
Birth isn’t about ticking exercises off a list. It’s about how your body adapts, responds, and works under load.
Personalised birth prep asks a different question
Not “What’s meant to help?”
But “What does this body actually need?”
If you’ve been doing all the “right” things and something still doesn’t feel quite right, it might not be you. It might just be that your body needs a different approach.
