Just wanted to share this coffee alternative for all those coffee lovers who may be sensitive to caffeine or want to try something different that is also good for you.

This coffee alternative by is one that I really like because it contains organic chicory which is excellent for feeding your gut bacteria keeping your gut healthy producing anti inflammatory short chain fatty acids key to optimal gut health. It also contains the medicinal mushroom, Cordyceps, which supports the immune system.

Taste wise, you can taste the mild coffee flavour and if you like sweet things it has a toffee natural flavouring.

According to Professor Calder, it seems likely that a Mediterranean-like diet, which is well understood to help control inflammation and provides the nutrients needed to support the immune system, is also important for respiratory health.

Loving my new supermarket purchase!

Apple cider vinegar is so good for you - it supports proper digestion by increasing stomach acid and in turn stimulating digestive enzymes, contains probiotics for optimal gut health, acts as an alkalising agent in the body and it’s a potent anti-inflammatory.

This particular Apple cider vinegar by Willy's Probiotic Live Foods] contains turmeric and black pepper. It is the piperine in black pepper which increases the absorption of the active anti-inflammatory ingredient, curcumin in the turmeric.

The honey may support immune health depending on what honey has been included but really this just makes it tastes good.

I normally suggest a shot of diluted apple cider vinegar before a meal but this one can be enjoyed as a long warm drink too. Drunk this way it’s ideal for anyone suffering with joint pain and arthritis.

Thank you Willy's Probiotic Live Foods] am loving it 😍

It’s with great relief that I can finally say ‘I have come to the end of my breast feeding days’.

I breast fed my son and had mastitis a few times during that time but with my little girl of 15 weeks old I have had mastitis 6 times. It was the final straw when I had only just got rid of it in one breast for it to appear on the next the very next day.

I’d done all I could, sorted tongue tie, made sure I was draining properly, dangle feeding, taking herbs and homeopathic remedies as well as lecithin with very little success.

For anyone who has had it will know how excruciatingly painful it is leading to sleepless nights due to the pain. I also made the decision not to feed (even though all advice says to) when taking antibiotics to protect my daughter. No matter who says it’s safe to take the antibiotics it still gets through to breast milk so I was having to feed her a bottle and then express which with two children is all far too time consuming.

So it’s with great joy when I say that I am ending my breast feeding journey as the pain, fatigue and fear of it returning has been all too much. I have decided that I will be a much happier mum if I don’t have the worry of another bout of mastitis and as the saying goes ‘happy mum happy baby’.

Poppy is on Nannycare formula as it’s goat milk based and easier to digest for their immature guts and I am supporting her with probiotics each day. Once I have finished my current round of antibiotics I will be supporting myself to build myself back up again over 12 weeks. It generally takes 12 weeks to improve your gut bacteria.

We are both enjoying the bottle and it’s more intimate for me as the dangle feeding wasn’t at all intimate. I would have to get on all fours to feed her when it was bad. She holds my finger when feeding now ❤️

I have gone cold turkey with stopping feeding and this picture is of my b***s right now. It’s been tough and so painful - just imagine mastitis times 10 but only for a few days and I’m already making progress and feeling happy about my decision.

Please do share your breastfeeding journey if you would like?

'Before I saw Naomi I was struggling with bloating pretty much every day and a lot of flatulance.

I didn’t have any reservations before working with Naomi

Naomi is well researched, professional and explains things in a thorough appropriate way that’s easy to understand.

My stomach is much better even just after 5 weeks I’m less bloated and feel like I have more energy.'

A testimonial from a medical doctor in the NHS:

'I had a reasonable amount of knowledge about healthy eating, however I was completely stuck in a habit of frequent, high sugar intake, comfort eating, unpredictable bowel symptoms and generally not feeling well. I had never had expert scrutiny of my diet before. I had other symptoms of fatigue, low mood and high stress / burnout and had no idea how much of this could be due to my nutrition. I was also spending a lot on multiple, expensive supplements without noticing any benefit. My attempts to lose weight were unsuccessful, temporary and disheartening. I had a pretty unhealthy relationship with food and had started to feel improving my diet long term was both beyond me and unlikely to bring lasting benefits.

It was such a joy to find there was something amiss and whilst the SIBO diagnosis was daunting at first, it gave the answers to so many of the issues that had been frustrating me and made complete sense. I loved the science of the breath tests and how they explained not only my symptoms but also the blood results. I also really appreciated the prescriptive nature of the advice- exactly what to do, with a clear timescale, the exact supplements to take and where to get them from. It was all made so easy to follow and logical. The diet was initially challenging but there was such a clear goal from the outset that it was much easier to implement than I expected. I always felt there was support and expert advice from Naomi when I needed it. The reviews were timely, convenient, positive and thorough.

The best resutls, I can’t lie - the weight loss, whilst not the intended goal, has been amazing! In addition, almost complete resolution of bowel symptoms, better sleep, more energy and a real sense that food cravings dominate my day. I feel in control of what I put into my body now and have a much greater appreciation of the foods that make me feel well. I have embraced some changes (eating breakfast) that I have been stubbornly resisting for so long and have actually noticed real benefits. Seeing the ‘before and after’ SIBO results was just brilliant- I will treasure those graphs for years!'

Liz watched my webinar on 'How to treat your babies eczema naturally'. It's lovely to have feedback like this. I usually work 1-1 and so this style of working is very different for me, but it seems to have got the information across just as well and gives me the ability to help more people.

I know it can be overwhelming when your little one has a condition and you don't know what to try or do first. I was there when my son developed eczema. That is why I put this webianr together to help other parents to address their babies eczema naturally. I tell you exactly what I did for my son and provide different options for you whether your baby is breast feeding, bottle feeding of completely weaned onto solids.

If you would like a recording then just send me a prviate message. It's £30 for all this information.

'Before I saw Naomi at Gut Nutrition I was itchy and sore with damaged skin on my scalp, face, arms and shoulders. I had raised lumps under the skin and I had tried hydrocortisone and antihistamine which had not worked. I lacked energy and felt very tired.

I was concerned about parting with my hard earned money and not knowing how effective it would be.

Whilst working with Naomi I have appreciated being able to get in touch as and when I have needed to and the opportunity to discuss a wide range of issues.

I now have no itching or bleeding skin!'

I am so grateful to Beverley for sharing her healing journey with everyone. Her skin was so red and inflammed when I first met her, I'm so pleased she was brave in seeking alternative help. It's difficult to branch out from mainstream treatments but if it's not working for you then why continue?

Do reach out if you need some help if your current treatment plan is not working for you.

Skin health is often a reflection of inner health.

Why do some women erupt with spots around their menstrual cycle? Why when I am stressed does my skin condition worsen, whether it be eczema, psoriasis or rosacea? Why when I drink too much alcohol and eat poorly does my skin look flat and lifeless? Why when my gut is bad is my skin bad? These are questions I am sure many of us can relate to.

Why when I am on holiday, in the sun, enjoying life and living of fresh produce, lots of laughter and good nutrition does my skin glow and feel great?

I think we all know that we feel and look so much better when we look after our body and our soul but it's not always that easy in the reality of life.

What bothers you about your skin and what have you noticed makes it worse or better?

I'd love to know and help if I can.
