📸 In this case, a healthy female patient who smokes 10 ci******es a day presented with a missing lower second molar, previously lost to interradicular infection.

Using the GTB protocol, Dr Kobolt placed an Advan GTB TZero implant (13.5mm x 4.3mm) with a 4.5mm GFA abutment.

Healing proceeded over five months, followed by a titanium-ceramic crown.

Radiographs taken post-op and one year later show stable results with a BTPS score of 4, demonstrating solid peri-implant bone support.

🧠 Can bioactive glass regenerate Class II furcation defects effectively?

This clinical case, led by Asmita, Vivek Gupta, Vivek Kumar Bains, GP Singh, and Rajesh Jhingran, compared NovaBone Dental Putty and PerioGlas using clinical and CBCT-based measurements.

Both grafts improved probing depths, attachment levels, and defect fill at 6 months. 🦷

PerioGlas had slightly better horizontal resolution, but NovaBone performed comparably for vertical defect fill while offering excellent handling and mouldability during surgery.
