Calls will NOT be recorded and your personal details will not be stored.

Anyone who is in mental health crisis or needs support outside of the available hours above, please call NHS 111 or contact the Samaritans on 116 123.

If you don’t feel up to talking but would still like help after a traumatic birth, you can email our Peer Supporters at support@BirthTraumaAssociation.org.uk

*Standard rates apply.

[We may be able to increase our hours if/when more volunteers are trained. There might also be periods when we can’t staff the helpline during advertised hours due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances - if you call and reach our voicemail then feel free to leave a message or try emailing the team instead.]

Last year we translated your basic birth rights into 16 languages. It is really important to Birthrights that women and birthing people and those that care for them, understand basic birth rights in maternity care.

It is vital that conversations that lead to decisions, start from a shared understanding of what an individual can or can’t choose to do and the obligations on maternity services to uphold human rights.

The factsheets were professionally translated and reviewed by native speakers, including in as many cases as possible, women involved in refugee and asylum support.
