This half-term, whilst your little ones are out and about enjoying a break from school, please bear in mind local healthcare support for under 18s should you need it.

There are other places in Swindon and Wiltshire that can treat children, so you don't always need to come to hospital.

We started 2026 with a reduction in people not turning up for their appointments across our member practices compared to December.
This is a positive change, however 3828 missed appointments will have impacted on the length of wait for a GP appointment.

Brunel Health Group are celebrating three years of providing primary care services on a Saturday this weekend !
Our service has provided over 20,000 appointments with 16,550 patients seen across our Taw Hill and Swindon Health Centre sites.
We want to thank our amazing clinical and administrative team who consistently provide a high quality service on a Saturday to patients in Swindon and Shrivenham. Specific gratitude needs to go to our Enhanced Access Operations Manager - her commitment and professionalism has ensured the service is the success it is!
We also want to thank our member practice teams who offer this access to health care to their patients and ensure appointments are fully booked each week.
If you haven’t used our Saturday service yet, please contact your practice to book an appointment.

We’re currently caring for some patients with symptoms of norovirus, which can spread very easily.

If you’re feeling unwell, please delay visiting the hospital until at least 48 hours after your symptoms have completely stopped.

If you do need to visit:

🧴 Use the hand gel provided when entering and leaving wards

Advanced Notice🔔:

On 4th March, the surgery will be closed from 13.00-13.30 due to mandatory staff training.

The phone lines will be diverted during this time, and there will also be an emergency line provided if needed.
