Aparigraha is our reminder to loosen our grip on things, on people, and on how we think life ‘should’ be.
It’s learning to trust that we don’t have to hold everything together for it to work out!
When we let go, even just a little, space opens and it’s in that space, we often find peace, clarity, and joy waiting for us.
The simplest way to experience Aparigraha is through the body:
part your lips, soften your lower jaw, and feel the ease spread through your face.
Practice this regularly, it will teach you to notice when you’re grasping unnecessarily. You can do this anywhere in your body just simply notice what you’re clenching that doesn’t need to be clenched.
Affirm when you realise you’re holding too tight: “I trust that what is meant for me will remain, and what leaves has served its purpose.”
