Children in Need 2025 🥰 Sara Cox (BBC 2 presenter) is undertaking a remarkable 135 mile Marathon Challenge across Northan England to raise funds for Children in Need. She has received encouragement from various celebrities along the way.
Vale View Heights Care Home would like to offer support from one of our Celebrities, the legend that is Dennis Friend who is 100years old 🥰 he has appeared on the BBC and has featured in local and National newspapers 🤩

We had a surprise visit from our lovely nurse Kala 😊 and her beautiful baby boy Numan ❤️ this afternoon. We were all so happy 🫶 to see them both looking so well and to meet the latest addition to our Vale View Family 🥰 Then it was back to the serious 😉 business of 👀 eyes down and wishing this weeks Bingo Queens’ congratulations 🙌 enjoy your treats 😋

Tuesday afternoons are for our Quiz 🤓 and Reminscing 🫶 sessions. Our residents requested ‘Have I Got News 📰 For You’ to encourage current affairs knowledge followed by a group reminiscing session. We had a lively debate about the forthcoming budget, Trump and the movie Wicked. We then used ‘Let’s Talk’ cards chosen by our group to chat and fondly share stories. Patricia talked about being brought up by her wonderful Grandma ❤️ Sheila remembered her family trips to the theatre 🎭 which were such a treat, Jenny chatted about happy family summer holidays in caravans 🏕️ and being allowed to stay up late, Doreen shared memories of her Mum ❤️ and Doris told us that her parents were very strict which resonated with all of our group and as an only child her house was always full of friends. We idealised about meeting Elvis, Dame Judy Dench, Pope Paul II and Paul Newman 😉

Our residents enjoyed the Remembrance Day service from our local church ⛪️ as we recited the service together 🫶 before we observed the 2 minute silence ❤️🙏
