It has been such a wonderful and busy time here at Springbank! 🏡 We love keeping our residents engaged and happy, and today was no exception.

This morning, the talented Lisa worked her magic, treating our residents to some pampering and styling. 💇‍♀️✨ It is always such a treat to have her with us, and it was lovely to see everyone looking and feeling their very best.

To top off a fantastic day, we were delighted to welcome our lovely Jackie this afternoon to sing for us. 🎤 We all had such a brilliant time listening to her perform, with plenty of singing along and toe-tapping to our favourite songs. 🎶 There is truly nothing like the power of music to lift spirits and bring everyone together for a bit of fun. We are already looking forward to our next exciting activity here at the home! 😊

Springbank has been full of smiles and celebrations over the last couple of days! 🍦🛍️

Yesterday, the home was buzzing with excitement as residents and staff alike had a fantastic time wishing our wonderful Chef Eve a very happy birthday! Since Eve spends so much of her time baking such lovely birthday cakes for everyone else in the home, it was especially moving to surprise her with a beautiful cake of her own. It was a brilliant occasion and everyone loved coming together to make sure she had a truly special day 🎂🥳

Our local trips continued today as we made the most of the sunshine. This morning, we enjoyed a nostalgic visit to Billy Bob’s for some treats and a lovely look around 🍦☀️

By this afternoon, the adventure shifted to Moss and Moor. Our lovely ladies were keen to do a little bit of shopping, so we spent a delightful few hours browsing the shop and enjoying the beautiful displays. It has been a wonderful way to spend the day and see our residents out and about in the community 🌷✨

At Springbank Care Home, the health and wellbeing of our residents remain our primary focus. Yesterday, we were pleased to facilitate a vaccination clinic within the home to ensure our community remains protected against seasonal illnesses 🏥

We would like to extend our thanks to the visiting clinical team from AWC Modality Partnership, who attended the home to administer both COVID-19 and RSV vaccinations. Their professional approach ensured that the session was conducted efficiently, providing our residents with essential immunisations in the comfort of their own environment 💉✨

Maintaining high standards of preventative care is a key aspect of our commitment to excellence at Springbank. By working closely with local healthcare partners like Modality, we continue to prioritise the safety and long-term health of everyone in our care 🌟🙌

What a wonderful afternoon we had at Springbank Care Home yesterday! Our lounge was transformed into a hub of rhythm and joy during our latest Musical Moments session 🎶

It was a truly fantastic dementia-friendly experience that engaged all the senses. We filled the room with familiar melodies that sparked lovely memories, and it was heartwarming to see so many residents tapping along, singing out loud, and waving colourful scarves to the beat 💃✨

These sessions are such a vital part of life here at Springbank, providing a stimulating environment where everyone can express themselves through the power of music and sensory play. The smiles on everyone's faces really said it all, and the atmosphere remained vibrant long after the final note was played 🌟🎹

We feel so lucky to have such wonderful facilities that allow us to host these enriching activities for our lovely residents. It was certainly a day to remember for everyone involved 💖🌸

Happy Friday, everyone! We have had such a wonderful couple of days here at Springbank Care Home, filled with fantastic food and beautiful music.

Yesterday, we went all out to celebrate St. George’s Day. We started the festivities with a "Great British Brunch" for lunch, which was essentially a classic fry-up that definitely hit the spot! For dessert, everyone enjoyed their own individually made raspberry trifle, and the treats didn't stop there! Our afternoon snack was a delicious Victoria sponge cake, followed by a lovely buffet tea in the evening. It was a proper feast from start to finish 🇬🇧🍳🍰

The wonderful atmosphere has continued into today as we welcomed Rebecca Austin to the home. She performed a beautiful melody of songs that had us all captivated. It has been the perfect way to head into the weekend 🎶🎤✨

Following on from Earth Day yesterday, we took a trip up to our turret at Springbank Care Home this morning to capture these breathtaking shots of Silsden. On a crystal-clear day like today, you can truly see for miles! ☀️

These views are a daily backdrop for our residents, whether they are relaxing in the lounges, visiting the salon, or looking out from their bedrooms. Looking over the town often sparks such wonderful conversations and memories. From our windows, you can see the iconic mills that tell the story of Silsden’s industrious past, standing tall among the familiar rows of houses and the rolling Yorkshire hills.

So many of our residents have deep-rooted connections to this landscape—from those who worked in the local mills to those who raised their families in these very streets. It’s a privilege to see the town they love from such a beautiful perspective every day.

We feel incredibly lucky to be part of such a historic and picturesque community. The spring sunshine is just the icing on the cake! 📸
