They give give you a tool kit to manage stress, anxiety & chronic pain. I'm passionate about helping others regain comfort and calm in lives. I have been teaching yoga since 2008 and practicing for 2001. In that time Yoga has pathed the way for positive changes in my life. I am a calmer, happier, more stable and comfortable person. Using Yoga , I endeavour to pass these feelings onto my students, so that they may feel the same way. I have recently started training to be a Somatic Movement teacher as taught by Essential Somatics.

Breathe more easily for more energy and focus.

Poor postural habits, stress and anxiety can mean that we're unable to breath efficently, leading to fatigue and a feeling of unease. Mindful movement can help to release habitual tightness and improve awareness of your posture. This can allow you to move with comfort and ease during the day, and sleep better at night.

Learn how Somatic Movement can help.

Essential Somatic Movement & the stress reflexes.

Stress reflexes are things we all experience as we move through life. They're involuntary responces to stress & stimuli that come our way in life. They help us to move foward through our busy lives, protect us from harm & help us heal when we're in pain.

Sometimes we can get stuck these reflexes & this is when they stop being helpful. This can cause pain, discomfort, affect our mental health & stop us moving freely & easly through our daily lives.

Red light reflex - A response to fear, & danger. The belly tightens, withdrawing the body towards a fetal position. This reflex can also become a habit if you have a desk job. If you're stuck in this reflex, you may have sleep issues and Anxiety.

How somatics can help?

- Learn to recognise & release mucsle tension to unstick your red light reflex.
- Relieve anxiety and sleep well
- Breath more easily for more energy and focus

My perimenopause symptoms have returned lately. Whilst I wait for my GP appointment, I'm returning to my Yoga practice to find balance and writing in my gratitude diary to lift my spirits.

Menopause matters magazine had an article on 'glimmers'.

I felt drawn to this magazine this week. It's full of useful information about perimenopause. HRT has really helped, but it's useful to remember that things like meditation, Yoga and Somatics can help too.

I've learnt alot about how yoga and Somatics can help me manage my symptoms.

Our Story

I teach Vanda Scaravelli inspired Hatha Yoga because I truly believe it can improve the lives of the people who practice it, as is has for me. Before bringing Yoga into my life in 2001 I struggled with anxiety, low self esteem and a lack a confidence. I also suffered from ongoing joint pain. A regular Yoga practice has pathed the way for positive changes in my life, feeling calmer, happier and more stable:-


  • Gaining a positive outlook on life.

  • Developing a tool kit or calmness within me to manage daily life.

  • learning postures and techniques to manage pain and stabilise joints.
