Today Neil Bloor took on the London To Brighton Bike Ride to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).

It was a tough day due to a heavy cold but nothing was left out there - finishing in 4 hours 25 minutes and raising (so far) £1175.

So, not only has the total passed the £1000 mark, I have had confirmation this afternoon that as things stand the ride will be going ahead as planned.
It’s got to be worth a tenner of anyone’s money to see me suffering through the wind and rain on Sunday 🤣

And thanks to your wonderful generosity I’ve now hit the £1000 mark. That money will help Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) to provide accommodation and activities for more families like Pete and Emma whilst their children are in hospital.

Right you lovely lot, just under two weeks now until I (Neil Bloor) take on my 3rd London to Brighton Cycle, this time for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC)

My cycling jersey and rider number have arrived this week so it’s all getting very real again.

I have added the total for the year to date to the page - this includes the proceeds of the quiz night among other things - the current total is £865.84 - let’s have one last push to get to the magic £1000, it would be a fantastic way to say thank you to the charity for everything they continue to do for Pete, Em & the family whilst Jude was in the Evelina in 2023 and for this subsequent follow up visits.

Good morning all you lovely people

It’s that time again where our friendly local quizmaster and page admin Neil Bloor takes on the London to Brighton Cycle to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).

RMHC provides free ‘home away from home’ accommodation to families with children having treatment in hospital as they did when Jude became ill and spent most of 2023 in the Evelina London. RMHC provided a room for Pete, Em and the family for over 300 days meaning they were never far from Jude during the most difficult times.

Their Houses offer much more than just a place to stay; they provide family activities, peer support, respite, and many other services. This means that families can be by their child’s bedside in a matter of moments, whilst maintaining a degree of normal life with reduced emotional and financial strain.

RMHC help over 6,000 families each year and now, more than ever, they need your support to help more families like Pete & Em. Thank you.
