Seathorne Court Care Home Seathorne court is an 24 single room residential home with ensuite bathroom in Winthorpe, Skegness.

Seathorne Court has existed since a long time and has been under new management since 2007and is run by Mr & Mrs Gungah who both have a wide and extended knowledge and experience in the care field. Seathorne court is a home where you safety and security is paramount and your choice, dignity, rights, culture and belief are respected, your concerns and complaints are listened to , and your independence are promoted as much as possible. A wonderful and well trained dedicated staff team is here to listen to you and provide you with the best appropriate care you require on a 24 hour basis. We respect and value you as an individual, and we are proud in achieving a 2 star Good rating by the CQC and the LCC. Access to health care is available at any time, and a minister visits the home on a regular basis. Other services such as hairdresser and chiropodist are also available . Homemade food is freshly prepared and cooked to meet your dietary requirements and again the home was granted a 5 Star Excellent rating by the ELDC for its food & hygiene. Regular activities and events are usually organised and relatives are invited to be involved. Here are some comments made by the residents” we are lucky to live here, this is like our home and the staffs are wonderful....”,“we are like a family”...Together the owner, the staff team and relatives will continue to improve the home and make the life of the residents more enjoyable and comfortable as much as possible.

We have had a very emotional week, first, residents of all abilities were taken to local garden centres to browse the Christmas gifts and lots of hot drinks too. The art group were busy completing fabulous artwork. Then on Sunday we all said goodbye and good luck to the lovely carer Disna, she was starting a new chapter of her life in Germany, the residents all wished her the best of luck, and the staff gave her a lovely farewell 💕👍

Today at Seathornecourt we had a surprise buffet to celebrate Shirley’s 65th birthday and Disna’s leaving to begin the next chapter in her life in Germany. Thank you everyone for the lovely cards, balloons and gifts. A special thank you to Mel and Sue Ellen for the lovely food. Thank you to Christina and Alan for the cake. Xx

We have had a lovely week at Seathornecourt, we met a new member of the singing club on Tuesday, who showered our residents with kisses, her name was biscuit the dog. Then lots of board games and art and crafts inside to shelter from the storm. We would also thank the families for our lovely thank you cards for our staff, really appreciated.

Today we had a brilliant visit from Rainbow Dreaming CIC. They bought their 2 fabulous ponies JO and BUGS. They visited all the residents either in the lounges or in their beds. Together with their human helpers KAF and GRAINNE they made a million smiles from the residents. I can recommend this company to visit any care home as gives the resident a complete wonderful experience, thank you Rainbow Dreaming CIC 🐴🐴

Some events this week, communion given by the Reverend Graham Miles. Birthday party for a gentleman and his wife. A lovely donation to the residents fund of a collection of coins that came to a fantastic total. Arts and craft sessions, and trips out for coffee and cake.

Seathornecourt would like to congratulate Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary for their outstanding achievements and having 2 of their fantastic donkeys recognised in the Guinness book of records. And being mentioned on the BBC main news. Our residents regularly visit to see the donkeys and the staff are fantastic. Well done everyone and well done Bambou and Derrick the 2 stars 🐴🐴😊
