Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.
But as I sat pondering the feasts on the way,
I thought of my clients and what they might say.
With sweets and rich dishes piled high on each plate,
I knew that their guts might soon feel the weight.
When out on the lawn, there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my chair to see what was the matter.
The moon lit the treats laid out with delight,
And I knew that indulgence could cause quite a fright.
“Balance is key, even during this cheer,
A little indulgence won’t harm you, my dear.
Just remember to hydrate and don’t skip the greens,
For a happy digestion is the best of all scenes!”
So I gathered my clients with a smile and a cheer,
“Let’s toast to good health as the New Year draws near!
Enjoy all your feasts, but keep this in mind,
Your gut deserves love, so be gentle and kind.”
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night,
May your bellies feel happy, your spirits take flight!
And should you need help, just call on my name, Tracy
At The Treatment Rooms, we’ll ease any strain.
