🐴 So, what does Reiki energy feel like to horses during a treatment? 🐴
Reiki generates low level vibrational energy that flows through a practitioner to the recipient during a session. Ki energy is responsive and active so humans and animals rarely fall asleep, instead they hover in a state of deep relaxation that released tension from the body and supports healing.
My human clients feel the energy in different ways - warmth, coolness, gentle tingling sensation and flowing. All describe the sensations as highly calming, relaxing and pleasant.
These videos show the responses to Ki energy of two horses that I treat. The signs that a horse is comfortable and accepting Reiki energy are:
* Relaxed but active ear movements
* Wobbly and relaxed lips
* Lowered head
* Sleepy eyelids, fluttering eyelids and closing of eyes
* Energy release through yawning, head movements, stomach gurgling, chewing, licking, muscle twitching, limb movements
When treating a horse, I look out for and respond to any messages that they send out through their ear positions, body language and movement. If they are unhappy, uncomfortable or have had enough, they let me know. I respect their wishes by moving from a certain area or ending the treatment.
I love my work with horses and feel privileged to be able to help these amazing animals to relax and recuperate.
