🌟 Day One of our new lighting installation in Langbar Hall 🌟
Today marks the first day of work on our new lighting system at The Beamsley Project Charitable Trust, and we’re pleased to welcome the team from Baines Electrical Contractors, Skipton, who are carrying out the installation. 👷♀️💡
Thanks to our Trustees for working hard to obtain grants to fund this project, the new lighting will give our guests greater choice and control, allowing lighting levels to be adjusted to suit individual preferences and needs, as well as enabling lights to be used in specific areas when required. This will help create a more comfortable, accessible and welcoming environment for everyone.
Thoughtful lighting design is an important part of accessibility. Many people, including those with visual impairments, sight loss or sensory sensitivities, benefit from flexible lighting that can reduce glare, improve visibility and support comfort and confidence when using shared spaces.
The upgraded system is also more energy efficient and environmentally responsible, supporting our commitment to reducing energy use and working towards our sustainability plan. 🌱
Thank you to Baines Electrical Contractors for their professionalism and care as this work gets underway — we’re looking forward to seeing the positive impact these improvements will have for our guests.
