We had such a wonderful time yesterday at Craven Nursing Home as we embraced a day full of tradition and tasty treats! 🧧☕️

The morning started on a relaxing note as we welcomed the Chinese New Year. Our residents gathered together to test their focus with some themed word searches, all while enjoying a lovely hot brew and a good catch-up. It was the perfect way to kick off the celebrations and learn a little more about the Year of the Horse. 🐎✨

The excitement continued into the afternoon when the much-anticipated pancake trolley made its rounds! 🥞🍋 There were smiles all around as everyone tucked into fresh pancakes with their favourite toppings. Whether it was the classic lemon and sugar or something a bit sweeter, it was certainly a hit across the home. 😋

It was a joy to see everyone getting involved and enjoying a bit of variety in our daily activities. We are already looking forward to what the rest of the week has in store! 🏠❤️

We had such a brilliant trip out yesterday morning visiting a very special "old date spot" with one of our lovely residents and her family! 🚐✨

It was a truly heart-warming start to the day, revisiting a place filled with so many wonderful memories and stories from years gone by. After our nostalgic trip down memory lane, we headed over to Shackletons Garden Centre for a lovely stroll through the displays! 🪴🌸

Valentine’s Day was filled with so much love and happiness here at Craven Nursing Home! 💖

We had a wonderful Saturday morning listening to the talented Molly Imogen, who sang beautifully and set a perfect mood for the day. This was followed by a delicious Valentine’s lunch enjoyed by all. 🎤🍽️

In the afternoon, we shared the love by taking extra roses around to our residents in their rooms. It was a lovely opportunity for a quiet chit-chat and to make sure everyone felt special on such a heart-warming day. 🌹💬

Earlier this week, the smell of fresh sponge was wafting through the corridors to brighten everyone’s day 🍰

Our wonderful kitchen team was busy whisking and decorating to create this stunning home-baked birthday cake. At Craven Nursing Home, we believe every birthday deserves a personal touch, and our chefs take such pride in making sure each resident feels truly celebrated on their special day 🎈

It looked far too good to eat, though it certainly didn't stay whole for long once the tea trolley made its rounds! ☕️✨

❤️ Valentine’s Day Entertainment at Craven Nursing Home

Love is in the air at Craven Nursing Home! We are very much looking forward to our Valentine's Day celebrations tomorrow and we would love for you to join us.

We have a wonderful morning planned featuring a delightful pre-lunch musical selection from the lovely Molly Imogen. It promises to be a heart-warming performance to get everyone in the spirit before we sit down for lunch.

We extend a warm invitation to all our residents, their relatives, and their families to come along and share this special morning with us.

What a lovely, busy week it has been so far at Craven Nursing Home! 🏠✨

We started our week on a high note on Monday, heading out in the minibus for a "Coffee, Cake, and Blooms" trip 🚐🍰🌸 It was so refreshing to get out and about, enjoying some beautiful floral displays and a delicious treat together.

On Tuesday, we were absolutely delighted to welcome Steve from Modern Mobility into the home. He hosted a brilliant afternoon for our residents, testing our wits with a fun general knowledge and music quiz 🎶🧠 He even brought along some delicious sweet treats as prizes for our winners! Thank you so much for visiting, Steve, and we are already looking forward to seeing you again soon 🤝🍬

Yesterday morning, we were certainly feeling the love as we got stuck into some creative biscuit decorating to get us all in the mood for Valentine’s Day 🍪❤️ It was wonderful to see so many unique designs, and they tasted just as good as they looked!
