🎉✨ Oh yes we did! A Fantastic Day Out for Craven Nursing Home ✨🎉

We decided to get out and about for a brilliant day of fun and laughter today! We started our trip with a classic treat of fish and chips in town, which certainly hit the spot and fuelled us up for the afternoon's adventures.

The highlight of the day was a trip to see the "Jack and the Beanstalk" pantomime. From the giant to the beanstalk, it was a spectacular show that had us all in stitches. There were smiles and laughs all round as we joined in with the festive spirit—it was truly a wonderful way to spend time together.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a memorable trip for our residents!

🎄 Festive Joy at Craven Nursing Home 🎄

What a truly wonderful Christmas we have had here at Craven Nursing Home! The festive magic began on Christmas Day with a very special visit from Santa Claus, who brought so many smiles and gifts to our residents. It was such a delight to see the whole home community come together, sharing in the excitement and warmth that this time of year brings.

The celebrations continued right through the weekend, as the fun didn’t stop once the presents were opened. We spent a lovely few days filled with laughter, enjoying spirited games of antler ring toss and gathering around for some classic board games. Our weekend Bingo session was also a roaring success, with everyone joining in the friendly competition.

Most importantly, it was heart-warming to see our residents, staff, and families connecting and celebrating as one big community. Having families involved made the atmosphere even more special, reminding us all of the importance of togetherness during the festive season. Thank you to everyone who made these celebrations so memorable!

🌟 Community Spirit at Craven Nursing Home 🌟

We have had a wonderful couple of days filled with fresh air, fellowship, and celebrations!

Our residents enjoyed a beautiful minibus excursion to the Pavilion at Bolton Abbey. The scenery was stunning, and it was the perfect setting to relax and take in the natural beauty of our local area. There’s nothing quite like a change of scenery to lift the spirits!

Back at the home, we held our regular Church service. It was a peaceful time for reflection and coming together as a community, which is always a highlight of our weekly calendar.

The heart-warming moments didn't stop there! The congregation visited a fellow member on our Heron Unit to celebrate a very special birthday. We all gathered to sing a rousing rendition of 'Happy Birthday' and, of course, enjoyed some delicious cake together. 🍰

It is these moments of connection and joy that make life here at Craven Nursing Home so special.

What a truly heart-warming morning we had today, at Craven Nursing Home! 🎶 A massive thank you to the 'All Together Now' choir for visiting us and filling our home with such wonderful music. It was an incredibly special moment to see one of our own residents join in and sing alongside his choir; seeing him open up and share that passion with us all was just beautiful to witness. 🎤❤️

The smiles continued into the afternoon with a bit of festive pampering for our lovely ladies! 💅 We’ve been getting into the Christmas spirit with some very cute snowman and candy cane nail art. ⛄️🍭 It was the perfect way to relax and have a giggle together while getting our nails "winter-ready"!

Thank you to everyone who made today so memorable. It’s days like these that make our community so special! 🌟🏠

🐴 A Little Date for Your Diaries! 🐴

We have a quick update regarding our upcoming visit from our wonderful friends at KL Pony Therapy.

We know how much our residents and staff look forward to a cuddle and a carrot session, so we wanted to let you know that we’ve had to shuffle our plans around just a little bit.

Instead of visiting us this Monday 22nd, the ponies will now be trotting into Craven on Tuesday 30th instead!

We are ever so sorry for the change of plan, but it just means we have a few extra days to get excited and make sure we have plenty of treats ready. We can’t wait to see those friendly, fluffy faces very soon! 🥕✨

We’ll be sure to post lots of photos of the visit for you all to see.

✨ A Week of Sparkle and Smiles! ✨

We’ve had a wonderful few days filled with treats and talent here!

Monday Adventures ☔... Despite the drizzle, we braved the rain for a trip to Harrogate. We enjoyed a bit of retail therapy at M&S followed by a delicious lunch. The day got even better when we returned home to a special performance of the Puss in Boots pantomime, featuring our very own Princess Katie! 👑

A Musical Treat 🎶 The magic continued yesterday as the wonderful Maria Watton-Graham stunned us all with a beautiful Christmas performance. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house! 💕

✨ A Weekend Filled with Relaxation, Creativity, and Joy at Craven Nursing Home! ✨

What a truly splendid and successful weekend we had with our wonderful residents! The home was filled with delightful scents and creative energy as we embraced a perfect mix of relaxation and artistic expression for everyone.

We dedicated some wonderful time to giving everyone much-needed TLC and indulgence with our luxurious pampering sessions. It was a joy to see our residents truly unwinding and leaving the session feeling refreshed and cherished—a perfect way to start the weekend.

The creativity continued as residents brought vibrant colours and beautiful scents indoors. They successfully created stunning floral masterpieces during our popular arranging class, filling our rooms with natural beauty. To cap off the fun, we tapped into our imaginative side during a charming globe-making craft session, where everyone created a unique miniature world to be proud of.

It was a weekend packed with smiles, beautiful creations, and genuine happiness. Thank you to everyone who participated in making it such a memorable few days!
