👋 A little reintroduction…
I’m Stephanie, a John F. Barnes trained Myofascial Release Therapist, and my journey to this work began through my own chronic pain.
As a musician, my hands are everything to me. When I developed carpal tunnel syndrome, the pain and numbness didn’t just affect my playing, it filled me with fear. I tried multiple treatments and was even advised to consider surgery, but nothing brought lasting relief.
Eventually, I discovered John F. Barnes' Myofascial Release Therapy, and it changed everything. Through gentle, sustained work with the body’s connective tissue (fascia), I began to understand that my pain wasn’t just about overuse, it was the result of long-held tension, posture, and years of pushing through.
The work was subtle, patient, and deeply effective. Over time, my symptoms completely resolved, and I’ve able to return to music and teaching without feeling burnt out or pain.
The whole experience inspired me to fly to America to train in John F. Barnes specific Myofascial Release Therapist myself. Today, alongside my music teaching, I support others who are living with pain or issues that haven’t resolved through more traditional approaches and it’s a whole new level of job satisfaction.
If you’ve been struggling and feel like you’ve tried everything, this gentle, whole-body approach may be able to help 🌿
