Some of our ladies and gentlemen enjoying today’s edition of the ‘Daily Sparkle’

We had a lovely time reading through the stories, having a go at the quiz and discussing everything from Anderson shelters to George Best!

Fabulous participation from everyone involved 🩷 I absolutely loved hearing our residents reminiscing and sharing their experiences and memories 🫶🏻

This morning we had a look at some items from times gone by… a few things that we don’t really see anymore… some of these items sparked off a great discussion about how we used to use them and what they were for…
•A tea strainer/stirrer for making tea with loose tea leaves - before tea bags🫖
•An old Bovril bottle 🍶
•A pretty silver spoon - we think would have been used for pickles or jams 🥄
•A sock darning holder.. now this one really stumped me 😂 🧦
•An old jam jar from Hartleys - before the glass variety! 🫙
•And the item that bought us the most fun was a game… catch the ball in the holder… not as easy as it looks! 🥍
