The ‘Truth About Breathing’ course, final session! 🫁

Final topic, ‘Optimising physical performance, whatever your starting point.’

For both regular :

-swimmers 🏊 🏊‍♂️
and also those who struggle with even short walks.

Next Monday evening (24th) I’ll be doing a one off block session in HurstWorks, which covers:
-The whole of week 1…..Breathing assessment
AND
- How to manage dry irritating tickly coughs, chronic productive coughs and coughs left after a viral infection.
Time: 6.15pm - 7.45pm.

💭 Ever heard of "Mouth Breather Face"? It’s a term used to describe the craniofacial changes caused by habitual mouth breathing, especially in children.
When kids breathe through their mouths, their tongues don’t rest against the roof of their mouths, which impacts the development of their jaws and teeth. This can lead to:
👃 A long, narrow face
🦷 Crooked teeth
👄 Receding jaws
The good news? It’s possible to guide proper facial development with simple changes, like encouraging nasal breathing and using methods like Buteyko Breathing. Let’s help our little ones grow with confidence! 💪
