We were delighted to welcome Georgia, who treated our residents to a wonderful live singing session.

Her lovely voice created such a calm and relaxing atmosphere with many residents singing along.

Music can have a truly positive impact on wellbeing. It can help to reduce anxiety, lift mood, and bring a sense of comfort and familiarity. For many, it also sparks special memories and encourages social connection.

Thank you Georgia for such a special visit. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon!

What a truly lovely Easter we’ve been enjoying at Signature at Farnham Common so far 🐣✨

Our residents have been busy getting creative, from crafting their own delicious Easter chocolates with our Hospitality Manager Tuesdee,that stimulated the senses and encouraged creativity, to making beautiful Easter wreaths, that sparked conversation and brought everyone together. A real highlight has been watching our fluffy chicks hatch, a magical experience that’s brought a wonderful sense of joy, and a connection to nature.

And the celebrations continue this weekend:

🍞 Hot Cross Bun Tasting – residents will be sampling a variety of flavours, from traditional favourites to something a little different

🥚 Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt – sure to bring plenty of smiles while encouraging movement and gentle physical activity

⛪ Easter Sunday Service – residents will enjoy a meaningful and reflective trip to St. Mary’s Church

To celebrate the season, Signature Care Homes are launching our “Battle of the Blooms”, a friendly competition between our homes to get our gardens looking their absolute best for the warmer months ahead 🌸

We are proud to introduce our Time Together Pub Café in collaboration with Visiting Angels Berkshire, taking place this Wednesday 25th March from 11am – 12pm. Set in the cosy surroundings of The Royal Oak Farnham Common, Slough. A relaxed and friendly space for those living with dementia and for those who care for them to come and connect, chat, and enjoy time together. There is no need to RSVP, just turn up on the day!

We’re proud to be a part of the Chatty Café Scheme!
This Thursday 26th March from 11am, you’re warmly welcomed into our home to enjoy a beverage of your choice alongside some friendly “chatter and natter.”

This week we are proud to celebrate Nutrition and Hydration Week at Signature at Farnham Common 💜

Good nutrition and staying well hydrated are so important for our residents, supporting energy levels, maintaining strength, boosting immunity, and promoting overall wellbeing. Even small, regular snacks and drinks can make a big difference to our health.

A special thank you to Tuesdee, our Hospitality Manager, who has thoughtfully prepared and captured a variety of delicious and nutritious snacks throughout the week. Today at Signature at Farnham Common we shared a really special moment over lunch. One of our lovely residents was so delighted with his meal that he couldn’t stop thanking our talented chef, Sandra!

At Signature, our culinary team works hard to create meals that are not only delicious but also nutritionally balanced and freshly prepared every day. Using high quality ingredients, our in house chefs cater for all dietary needs, from vegetarian and diabetic diets to dishes for those living with dysphagia. Ensuring every resident enjoys food that’s both safe and satisfying.
