Welcome to Help in Hearing, we are independent hearing care specialists, local and family run. We promise exceptional personal service to all hearing health care needs, with emphasis on independent advice and bespoke after care. We use only the latest, most advanced hearing aid technology as part of our care packages. We provide a full range of services from ear wax removal, clinic based hearing tests, tinnitus management and access to all ranges of digital hearing aids from world leading manufacturers. We are also founders of the South Buckinghamshire Tinnitus Support Group, which holds monthly events in Marlow for people affected by tinnitus. We have guest speakers who talk about different methods for help relieving the symptoms of tinnitus, plus an opportunity to share your tinnitus experiences with other members of the group.

Lipreading isn’t about guessing words — it’s about combining visual cues, context, and concentration to make conversations flow more naturally.

Here are a few simple ways you can support someone who relies on lipreading:

👉 Make sure your face is visible and well lit
👉 Speak clearly at a natural pace (no need to shout or exaggerate)
👉 Reduce background noise where possible
👉 Be patient — good communication is teamwork
