Baba: ”The highest of all ta***ic empowerments is the Direct Introduction into the Nature of Mind. I give that all the time. The way I give it is very dynamic, just like I was taught by my gurus. I have not seen any living teacher give it like I do - with lots of power that pushes the samsaric layers out of the way, that lifts up the student’s karma. But that’s how I was taught, and therefore that’s why I give it like that.”

Chun: Dharma is not therapy.
Baba: My friend, I do not agree with that view at all. Shamatha meditation and metta bhavana are potentially excellent healing ie therapeutic methods that in my opinion should be taught exactly like that rather than (shamatha) as concentration practice. The reason why I say this is because of the Four Poisons (caturklesha) stored in the physical and subtle/astral bodies.

Looking at meditators around the world it cannot be said that they’d be succesful in turning the poisons into wisdoms, and opening the body succesfully through shamatha and metta. With all the effort and retreats that countless people engage in, if these methods were taught and presented as healing, we’d see real results ie poisons would turn into wisdom.

Vipashyana is a different matter. That is not a healing practice but that of removing existential confusion.
🙏

On Amrita Mandala January Retreat, we heard beautiful testimonials from Kripa and Sangita of finishing their purification process of the samsaric energy bodies. They both explained with their own words, how they have felt after causal and astral body cessation, which is called nonmeditation stage in Mahamudra tradition. This valuable recorded discussion is already on Amrita Mandala YouTube channel with the title: ”Spiritual and Psychological Perfection | Two Fully Enlightened Women Discuss Enlightenment”.

”Thank you, dear Amrita Baba, for your time and priceless teachings on this weekend’s January Retreat. It was valuable to hear your words about ethics and its importance on the path of Dharma. Like you said, honesty and sincerity reveals our buddha nature, where as openness and availability is compassion. When we get these basic principles right, we are aligned with our true nature.

On Sunday afternoon, we heard beautiful testimonials from Kripa and Sangita of finishing their purification process of the samsaric energy bodies.

Baba’s long retreat talk about Vipashyana clarified the difference between sutric and ta***ic insight practice. In Amrita Mandala, a method called The Two-Part Formula is used as a sutric technique to generate awakening. This means that one cuts through the notion of I, by investigating directly the subject-self. Selfing causes unnaturalness, which is stored in the subtle causal energy body. Baba emphasized, that it is important to master embodied sitting, so that one can sit still and investigate these subtle energies, that originate from selfing.

Like Baba has said: May the body of light of all beings be revealed; may the body of light of all beings be attained! Thank you once more, dear Baba, for your excellent guidance and teachings on this January Retreat. Thank you dear Masters, Padmasambhava, Yeshe Ma and Bodhidharma for your blessings! Warm thanks also to all online participants!

The next Amrita Mandala Retreat is held on 27.2.-1.3.2026. Welcome all! See you there!”

Baba: ”In the world of nonduality, the teaching of sakshibhava or witnessing state is a beginner stage. If awareness is separate from thoughts, emotions and energies, that is how the very early stages of nondual insight are like. That insight needs to be matured so that absolute and relative are one and same. Only then the mind is truly free of confusions.

It is easy to get stuck with this view of ”witness” or ”mirror-like awareness” which is common in hinduism but it goes much deeper than that as Buddha’s teaching explains. If there is a sense of witnessing, the mind is not clear and selfless. If there is a ”mirror” that reflects that reflection is nothing but self-delusion. In sahaja samadhi there is no sense of self, no witness, no mirroring quality. For nonduality to truly be nondual it has to release the delusion of ”oneness”, witnessing and mirror-likeness too.”

”The Big News: On 3rd of Jan 2026, Sangita’s cessation began which has now lasted for 8 days. She’s still in the middle of her three week trial. Here is Sangita’s video where you can feel and observe how sambodhi feels like.

I began teaching subtle body purification (like it’s usually called in completion stage systems of vajrayana) and healing of psychological trauma in the summer of 2021. That’s when Sangita began her subtle body or meridian system purification like we call it in Amrita Mandala.

Gita’s three week trial is still on but at the same time it looks like now after good 4-5 years of hard work: trauma healing, illumination of selfishness and activation of the meridians, the fruits have began to ripen.

The reason why permanent cessation (skt. nirodha) is a ”big deal” and especially when we are here discussing cessation of both subtle bodies, is because it is The End of Samsara. This means that the Five Poisons are permanently removed and the Five Wisdoms including only positive qualities express themselves spontaneously. The mind and the subtle body, including psyche, rests in its own clear and radiant nature at all times. This is the end result, it is complete enlightenment as taught by the Buddha and the mahasiddhas.

Like we witnessed with the wisdom/bhumi side of things the number of graduated practitioners had steadily increased during the past few years. That number went up by four within the last year alone. And now the list of practitioners who’ve reached anuttara samyak sambodhi have begun. The method and its practices are now tested and proved, and most importantly the Path is Open for Many Others Will Follow!

It is such a joyous day for me. Thank you all my students, those who listened and used reason. Thanks to our Masters who have flooded us with blessings retreat after retreat for all these years.

May all beings be free, May all beings attain the body of light,Prostrations at the feet of the Guru, Prostrations for the Refuge Jewels.”

”I am on the verge of immersing myself in the path that Amrita Mandala has so compassionately laid out for Western seekers. I appreciate the constructive criticism you’ve offered for why Vajrayana isn’t doing the wheel-turning work it’s meant to be, and what you’ve presented resonates with me at a deep level - as if these teachings are what I’ve been praying for, a new but authentic form of Dharma for the modern world.” (Excerpt from email to Baba)

Thank you dear Amrita Baba for your time and priceless Teachings on our 7-day Winter Retreat, which boils down to a prayer: ”May the body of light of all beings be revealed, may the body of light of all beings be attained.”

The year 2026 marks Baba’s 18th full year as a Dharma Teacher. After teaching hundreds of retreats, this was Baba’s first long retreat as a Sambhogakaya Master. Baba described his unceasing ease with the words: ”All the radiant qualities of the natural state are all ready in you, but obscured by self-delusion. When all the kleshas are removed, you will embody self-illuminated wisdom. No matter what you are experiencing after purification of the five kleshas, your emotions are not intensified by selfishness or negativity.” Baba’s student Kripa was also sharing her experiences of the astral body cessation, since her energetic shift has been a permanent one. You can find this unique and rare discussion on Amrita Mandala YouTube Channel with a title: ”Baba and Kripa Talk about Enlightenment and Healing of Trauma”.

Baba’s recent and permanent shift was felt strongly on this retreat. During Baba’s transmissions, the shakti came out with a powerful force, and it helped the whole group to establish the purity of the natural state in all three bodies. Our daily practice was also supported with the shakti element of Bodhicitta. Every session lead to embodied, blissful emptiness meditation, where all three danties (khandas) were activated in an equal measure.

Thank you once more dear Baba for your excellent guidance and teachings on this Winter Retreat. Thank you also to all the participants here in the ashram and online through Zoom!

Amrita Mandala’s new training season starts on 11th of January with Baba’s Supreme Awakening Satsangs. See you there and happy New Year!

”Love and joy, when recognized not as fleeting pleasant experiences but as our true nature have incredible depth and beauty. The whole world and everything in it; humans, animals, plants, nature and even inanimate things are an expression of this original ease. The totality of life is so beautiful with nothing but love and joy radiating not from one single point or source but radiating from endless amount of points and sources like endless amount of stars next to each other radiating pure light and love. All beings truly have beautiful nature. We ourselves are the source of blessings and so is everyone and everything else.”
