Had a couple of weeks off running so I eased myself back in today with 3k. Feel great for making the effort to get out. Half the battle is getting the trainers on and getting out the door. Getting regular is great for not only your physical but mental health.

As well as awards for weight loss and activity; each week we award a slimmer of the week. This is for the person who has lost the most weight that week. With four sessions on a Wednesday that means four slimmers of the week. This week they lost a total of 17lb. That's an average weight loss of 4 1/4lb each!
If you would like to come and join one of our groups, we meet every Wednesday at The Dorothy Parkes Centre. Session times are 9:30, 11:00, 5:30 or 7:00. No need to pre-book, just turn up

I'm so proud of my Smethwick Slimming World members. Not 1 but 3 awards this month. Group of the month. Highest new member weight losses (over 5 1/2 lb lost in their first week). Highest retention. (This means members continued coming to group and didn't leave). Let's face it with fabulous weight loss results like this why would you leave?

Let's talk about the benefits of regular activity. As a Slimming World Consultant I regularly tell people about the benefits but didn't embrace them myself. This year I promised to get fitter. I started couch to 5k and now run a couple of times a week. Not only do I feel better but I had a major non scale victory today. My blood pressure has always run on the high side; so much so that I pre warn anyone taking my blood pressure to expect a high reading. Had my blood pressure taken today and was told it was perfect. I was so happy, felt like I deserved a sticker.
