We had a very special guest at Solihull Care this week: Prancer the Alpaca!

Prancer came all the way from Daisy Farm to bring some festive cheer to our residents. He visited people in their rooms and also joined a lovely group session in our Kingfisher Lounge. The smiles, laughter and gentle moments shared were nothing short of magical.

Moments like this remind us how connection can come in many forms, sometimes even with a four-legged friend in a Christmas hat.

We had an absolute treat this week when Reza came to perform live at Swallows Meadow Court!

Residents gathered recently for a heartfelt tea and coffee session where they read out poems about treasured memories. It was emotional, uplifting, and full of warmth.

Of course, balance matters, so we followed it up with a joyful round of Name That Tune, where everyone got stuck in!

Our residents have been getting creative with some relaxing arts and crafts this week.

Together, we made beautiful handmade bookmarks, each one as unique as the person who created it. These gentle sessions bring so much joy, not just through creativity, but through conversation, confidence-building, and shared laughter.

We were so proud to support Remembrance Day at Swallows Meadow Court this year.

Our lovely resident Peter took on the important role of handing out poppies in honour of those who served, and it meant so much to all of us. It’s a tradition we deeply value as a veteran friendly home, helping us pause, reflect, and remember together.
