Love this about play ❣️
🎅The Power of Play this Christmas🎅
The Christmas holidays can be magical but they can also be big, noisy, emotional and overwhelming for children.
This Christmas, if a child is struggling offer them a moment to play, lower expectations where you can and if possible, join them on the floor.
You don’t need special toys.
You don’t need to fix everything.
Your presence and willingness to play are powerful.
Love this picture from Clearsky and their explanation on how play might look simple, but it’s doing something extraordinary.
When children play, their brains release natural chemicals that:
• boost mood
• reduce stress
• help regulate big feelings
• strengthen connection (especially when we play with them)
• support learning and motivation
If the holidays are feeling heavy and you’re wondering whether your child might need a little extra support, you don’t have to carry that alone.

Play isn’t just a break from the holidays —it can be a way through them.
