12 Years Ago Today… ✨

Twelve years ago, myself and four friends came together to create something special. Birmingham’s very first World Kindness Day event. 💚

What began as an idea rooted in love and kindness soon blossomed into something truly magical. The ICC Birmingham generously gifted us the space, local speakers shared their wisdom, the Birmingham Flower Market donated beautiful flowers for us to give away, and our community wrapped around us with open hearts.

There was music, yoga, free therapies, a choir, laughter, and lots of hugs. We even raised donations for various charities. All from a simple wish to spread a little more kindness in the world.

That day reminded me of something I’ll never forget:

Morning 💚 every time we evolve, life around us shifts too.

When we go through a period of growth, whether it’s something in our work or a shift in how we’re living, everything around us starts to change too.

As we evolve, we will find ourselves letting go of things that once felt so important, habits, relationships, old beliefs that no longer fit where we’re heading. And honestly, that can feel really emotional.

Stepping outside of our comfort zone is never easy. Growth asks us to choose differently, to release what no longer aligns, and to trust that the space we create will soon be filled with what’s meant for us next.

If you’re walking your own path of healing. I’m sure you’ve felt this too. That mix of sadness and uncertainty when something falls away… yet a quiet sense that something new is gently finding its way in.

We talk about this a lot in my women’s circles and Reiki groups, trusting the process. Trusting that each time we let go, we’re not losing… we’re evolving. We’re making room for deeper alignment, new connections, and fresh opportunities.

So as we keep growing together, let’s honour the parts of ourselves we’ve outgrown. Let’s celebrate the evolution, even when it feels a little messy or unknown. Because every ending is also a beginning and each new level brings us closer to the most authentic version of who we’re becoming.

A Moment of Reiki Magic 💚

Something really special happened yesterday, and I wanted to share it with you.

Reiki originally comes from Japan. The birthplace of this beautiful healing energy that continues to touch so many lives around the world.

Yesterday I spent time with a lovely Reiki student who had just returned from visiting her family in Japan. She brought me back the most beautiful talisman, that had been blessed in a temple, such a thoughtful gift.

As we were chatting, I suddenly felt my eyes fill with tears, my head began to tingle, and a wave of cold energy moved through me. For me, that’s always confirmation that something deeper is coming through.

In that moment, I felt such a strong sense that she holds a soul connection to Usui, the founder of Reiki, and that perhaps she was even attuned by him in another lifetime. When I shared this with her, it deeply resonated and helped her to feel more confident in moving forward on her Reiki journey, trusting what she feels and the guidance that comes through.

It was a beautiful reminder that Reiki is timeless, and our connection to it goes far beyond this life 🙏

I’ve just spent a few days in beautiful Paris. A change of scenery always reminds me how much I love exploring new places, soaking up the energy, the history and the magic of somewhere new.

Today is a slow day for me. While I settle back in 🤗
