Yesterday I had the honour of running
the for an incredible charity 🩵

Running has been a big part of my life this year, it’s easy to lose yourself after becoming a mum and taking up running has helped me find myself again - giving me head space, confidence and a reminder that I’m still here, growing alongside my children.

To Make⁣

1. Cook the Oats: In a medium saucepan, combine the oats, orange zest and milk. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes, or until the oats are soft and the porridge has thickened to desired consistency ⁣

2. Prepare the Pear: While the porridge is cooking, slice the pear into thin wedges or small cubes. Either, add pear, cinnamon and dash of water to a pan and warm through for a warm topping, or keep it fresh for a crisp contrast!⁣ If you’re feeling extra fancy, use a frying pan with some butter or coconut oil and add the sliced pears on a high heat to caramelise!

3. Add Protein: To the porridge, Stir in the Greek yogurt, chia seeds, and protein powder (if using). Continue cooking for 1 minute or so, until well mixed and heated through. I love vanilla which works beautifully! ⁣

4. Assemble the Bowl: Pour the cooked porridge into a bowl. Top with the sliced pear and drizzle with honey or maple syrup for added sweetness if. Sprinkle a little extra cinnamon on top for some extra flavour! ⁣

Guess I know what you’re thinking - obviously we chew our food - but I can’t tell you how often I see people wolfing food down, a couple of chews then it’s gone or even gulping drinks to help chew up the food and swallow. You shouldn’t need to be slugging drinks during your meals to help it breakdown - that’s the saliva & chewings # job! We should be chewing our food til it’s broken down as much as baby food! This will help your digestion more than you’ll believe! Improving all aspects of - reducing , & gas! CHEW AND CHEW SOME MORE✌🏼 & SEND to someone who needs a reminder to chew 🤪
