Our amazing little elves have been busy delivering Christmas parcels to our wonderful service users, spreading joy and festive cheer along the way. Everyone has received a thoughtful treat to enjoy over the festive period, including those who aren’t able to indulge in traditional festive goodies.

A huge thank you to Solihull and Knowle Roundtable and Solihull and Knowle Lions for their incredibly generous contributions. This has been our biggest Christmas parcel delivery yet and we couldn’t have done it without your support 🎄

That really is a beautiful way to begin the day, what a view from our office window this morning. Moments like that sunrise can quietly reset everything, perspective, gratitude, intention.

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting our annual Christmas meal for our wonderful service users 🎄

The afternoon was filled with a delicious hot meal, festive drinks, lots of laughter, a Christmas quiz, a lively game of bingo and of course we finished with a good old sing-song!

For some of the people we support, Christmas can be a lonely time. Others are lucky to spend it with family but this afternoon is something we proudly fund each year to bring everyone together, create memories and share the warmth of the season as a community.

Seeing the smiles, hearing the laughter and watching friendships form is exactly why we do what we do. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special

As temperatures drop, the risk to older adults and vulnerable people increases. Cold weather can lead to illnesses such as hypothermia, chest infections and falls due to icy conditions. At Elite Assistance, we’re here to help keep everyone safe, warm, and well this winter.

Here are some simple tips to stay protected during the cold spell:

Keep warm indoors
• Heat the home to at least 18°C
• Wear layers of clothing to trap warmth
• Use blankets or hot water bottles safely

Eat well & stay hydrated
• Regular warm meals and drinks help maintain body temperature
• Check cupboards are stocked with essentials

Stay safe outdoors
• Avoid going out in icy conditions where possible
• Wear sturdy, non-slip footwear
• Use walking aids if needed

Look after your health
• Take prescribed medications on time
• Keep an eye on any new or worsening symptoms
• Ask for help if feeling unwell

Check in on loved ones & neighbours
A quick call or visit could make all the difference.

We had a fantastic time attending the annual Visit Knowle AGM last night! A huge thank you to the team for looking after us so well - it was great to meet and network with so many brilliant local businesses.

A particularly special moment was hearing some personal feedback from one of the attendees who shared their family’s positive experience of the care we provided. It was truly heartwarming and reminded us why we do what we do every day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening with Visit Knowle and are already looking forward to many more events and collaborations in the future!
