Your best posture is your next posture….

Why the Best Posture is Your Next One

We often chase the "perfect" posture — back straight, shoulders down — but the truth is, the best posture is simply movement.

Our bodies are designed to flow, shift, and adjust. Sitting or standing still for too long — even in the most "correct" position — can cause tension. But when you move, stretch, and realign, you’re giving your body the balance it craves.

So instead of obsessing over a single perfect posture, remember: the healthiest pose is the one you move into next.

✨ Keep moving. Keep flowing. Your body will thank you.

Doing the exercises your osteopath or physio gives you is a really important part of your treatment.

These moves are designed to strengthen weak areas, improve mobility, and speed up your recovery.

Skipping them can slow your progress, while doing them consistently helps your body heal properly and stay strong long-term. Your future self will thank you!

Do you do your exercises?

Your first session is all about you.

We'll start by getting to know you and understanding the issue that brought you in—your lifestyle, medical history, and how the problem is affecting your daily activities or performance.

Next, we’ll take a detailed history of the complaint—how it started, what makes it better or worse, and any relevant injuries or conditions.

We’ll then move on to a thorough physical examination, looking at your posture, movement, joint function, and muscle strength. This helps us identify the root cause of the issue, not just the symptoms.

If appropriate, we may begin some hands-on treatment straight away—this could include soft tissue work, joint mobilisations, stretching or guided exercises.

Finally, we’ll give you a clear diagnosis and discuss a tailored treatment and rehabilitation plan, so you know exactly what to expect and how we’ll help you get back to your best. 🎉
