On Armistice Day, we reflect on the ways in which our residents have shown their respects for those who serve. Some used their creativity to make poppy wreaths out of cupcake cases and tissue paper, whilst others attended the local Remembrance Service and Parade to participate in the act of remembrance.

We recently had a special visit from Nimbus the cat, who belongs to Emily from our Activities Team. Nimbus was an absolute star and our residents loved giving him cuddles. 💛

It’s amazing how much joy and comfort a furry friend can bring - thank you, Nimbus, for brightening everyone’s day! 🐾✨

🎃 Fiendishly good cakes, spooky singalongs, and creepy costumes can only mean one thing - Halloween at Wessex House! 👻

Our residents had a blast decorating pumpkins and giving high praise to the team's fancy dress efforts! 🎉

Last month’s winner, Violet, wished for a cozy cat blanket and, we were delighted to make it happen! 🐾💜

What a Wonderful Open Day, We had such a fantastic time filled with music, dancing, and laughter! 💃🎶

Residents enjoyed singing along in the morning, followed by a delicious barbeque, thank you to Merin, our clinical manager for her amazing homemade food! 🍔🌭

Everyone looked fantastic in traditional dress, and the staff’s singing was a real highlight. 🎤 The day ended with fun races and a raffle, the perfect finish to a joyful day! 🎁🏃‍♀️

A huge thank you to all our residents, staff, families, and visitors who made it so special. 💛

Our residents recently took part in a teddy bear themed quiz, all about some of the most beloved bears. From Pudsey and Rupert to Paddington, Baloo, Barnaby and, of course, Winnie the Pooh! 🐻💛

With 10 questions to answer, there was plenty of fun, laughter and memories shared. We had two fantastic winners, Rosa and Janice, who both scored an impressive 9 out of 10! 👏🌟

To celebrate, each of them received a lovely rose pot as their prize. 🌹

Well done Rosa and Janice and, thank you to everyone who joined in the fun. What a bear-y good afternoon it was! 🥰

🎉💐 A very special celebration for Violet’s 80th birthday! 💐🎉

Violet was truly spoilt with flowers, chocolates, balloons and, a delicious cake lovingly made by our kitchen team 🍰

It was wonderful to have her family join us, making the day even more memorable. A great time was had by all! 🥂🎂
