📅 World Hearing Day – 3 March 2026

This year the World Health Organization (WHO) focuses on hearing care for all children.

Globally, around 90 million young people live with hearing loss, many without diagnosis or support. And in many cases, the causes are preventable or treatable.

Early action makes a huge difference to speech, education, and confidence.

Let’s make sure no child is left behind because of hearing problems.

📍 Project Spotlight: St Mary Magdalene, Cheltenham

A recent service visit took us to this picturesque church in the Cotswolds, located within a National Trust area.

The simple sound system we installed over 15 years ago is still performing brilliantly and after a thorough service check, it’s been given a clean bill of health.

Great to see quality installations continuing to deliver year after year.

We had a great afternoon in Bristol at a casual meet-up for professionals working in disability and employment.

Trudy and Will brought along the full Roger range, giving everyone the chance to test the equipment and hear the difference Phonak Roger technology can make. 🦻 🎧

📍 Project Spotlight: Salisbury Cathedral 🏛️

We recently carried out the servicing of seven hearing loops across Salisbury Cathedral, maintaining full audio coverage throughout this incredible building for those who are hard of hearing. 🦻

The existing Univox 650 amplifiers, installed more than 25 years ago, are still going strong - proof that good equipment stands the test of time! 💪

Working in such an awe-inspiring space is always a privilege. And with views like these, there’s definitely a perk to the job - some amazing photo opportunities high up in the cathedral! 📸✨

📍 Project Spotlight: Treswithian Downs Crematorium, Cornwall

As part of a recent refurbishment, we fitted a copper tape hearing loop beneath the new carpet, installed with laser-level precision for the best possible sound quality.

Now, hard of hearing visitors can hear every word clearly during services, ensuring no one misses those important moments when saying goodbye.

And while in Cornwall, our engineer couldn’t resist making the most of the beautiful scenery and surf! 🌊

📍 Project Spotlight: Tyntesfield National Trust

We carried out a service visit to test hearing loops across the estate - covering counter loops at every reception desk as well as room loops in teaching and presentation spaces.

Every system is clearly signed for visitors, and portable Phonak Roger systems are available across the whole site for improved communication.

Great to see accessibility front and centre at such a beautiful National Trust location.

We were recently invited to demo the Roger Soundfield range of equipment in several bookable event spaces within the crypt, directly under St Paul’s Cathedral. 🏛

While the setting is stunning, the acoustics are challenging, and hearing was a struggle for everyone. That’s why it’s great to see such an iconic venue taking accessibility seriously for visitors who are hard of hearing. 🦻

📍 Project Spotlight: Dorchester Corn Exchange

Last week, we upgraded the PA system and added a Roger Basestation, giving visitors with hearing aids direct access to crystal-clear audio.

Now, thanks to this upgrade, everyone can be part of the experience.

To commission the system, we chose a track from the legendary Ozzy Osbourne - a fitting tribute to a true icon whose music broke barriers and brought people together. 🤘🎸
