A newly published Cochrane review of reviews has examined non-drug and non-surgical treatments for low back pain. The results? Acupuncture effectively reduces pain and improves function for those with chronic low back pain! 🎯

🔸 Acupuncture is already integrated into mainstream healthcare in several countries:
✅ Statutory regulated in Australia, New Zealand, and Portugal
✅ Covered by healthcare insurance in Germany and New Zealand
✅ Recommended in clinical guidelines when seeking out a PSA registered practitioner (BAcC)

However the study highlights that many clinical trials underestimate the real benefits of acupuncture because they don’t reflect the personalised treatments given by traditional acupuncturists.

Wow! What a weekend.. finally went to my first conference..and it will not be my last..

Lots of learning, laughs,meeting people I've known and worked with/learned from for years but virtually..so was amazing to meet in person and reconnecting with people I trained with/learned from from Salford uni..

All settled in the new clinic.. I am in doing a wee sneaky shift between Christmas and Hogmanay.

Transgender Awareness Week.

Such a touchy subject for some, but one that is close to my heart - a member of my family is transitioning. And his story is similar to one I read yesterday - a FIVE year wait to get the medication they need through the NHS.

I know from my own family story no other support is given mean time, breaks my heart how the NHS is letting down this very underrepresented group.

Whilst my skills don't lend to assisting physical transition, I can certainly help with the mental health support that I think is also very necessary (family rejection, depression, anxiety). I have also already helped folks with post surgery complications - including scar treatments and pain.

In addition of course to all the 'normal' issues folks have with pain, digestive complaints etc.

Know that our clinic offers a safe, non-judgemental space where we will do all we can to support you, honour you and help you the best ways we can.

hey folks!! Just thought I'd say hi! hope you are all doing well and loving life.

Ive been busy getting settled into the new clinic and now I'm revamping our website (well starting from scratch) - as well as working full time in my practice!

Being self employed is a lot of work - but i wouldnt change it for the world - love that i get to help YOU get better!
